Can my main account get banned?

I am botting on a 2nd account, and having my main account open and playing myself, does anyone know if Blizzard will ban my main account aswell if my 2nd gets banned?

 

In my experience they will only ban the account that was caught botting (my main still not banned since first expansion).

 

if ther eis a ban wave and they detect the cheat yes you can be ban on both if they are ran at the same time.
unless... it only bans the one that its injected to, but most likely both

Yes, there's always the possibility you'll get banned on your main, especially if your main is benefiting in any way from your bot.

It's not very likely and most people will tell you that their main hasn't been banned in situations like yours, but there's always the possibility.

Noone here can give you any more answer than that.

 

Well considering the bot won't be running on my main I just wasn't sure, I considered to just run the bot on a Virtual Machine to avoid a potentinal ban on my account, but I don't know if it works.
