everytime i start up honorbuddy i get this message; "The HTTP connection failed! Are you sure you are connected to the internet?"

I know it has something to do with some firewall or some shit. but I don't have any firewalls on... anyone good at this kind of stuff? Thanks in advance

Go to your control panel -> Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features (depending on OS). Look for anything that mentions antivirus, firewall, security, network security, zonealarm, etc. See if you have a firewall installed.

Also, go to Control Panel -> Windows Firewall, see if you have that enabled.

      K. All the programs are gone and the firewall is off. Still nothing? Could this have something to do with a proxy? I odnt think I have one though.

as you can login on the http way but not over your computer, its all firewall related - are you sure your windows firewall is disabled too ?`

a proxy can also be the problem, but as you do not have any ...

How can I check if I have a proxy? And yes I'm sure everything firewall-related is disabled or uninstalled.

Open your internet explorer, go to tools -> internet options -> connections -> lan settings. See if you have a proxy server listed at the bottom there.

      Could try...
Im on windows 7 so i'll list how i can do it on that (sorry i dont have xp or vista so cant comment there)
      Locate your way like so.
Control Pannel > System and Security > Windows Firewall > Allowed Programs
It will bring up a list of programs allowed by your firewall.
      Click "Allow Other Program"
Point that to the Honorbuddy exe file, click add.
      Should allow it through then.

Should be similar on other OS?
