So as far as we know on PCs with AMD CPUs multiple BWs don't work eaither with ISBoxer or VMWare Workstation. HLL Dictionary errors and large log files sooner or later. Tested on (FX-8120, FX-8320, X4 955, and another one which i can't recall). I was wondering are there any "other compile options" for the bot that could be more AMD friendly and could work on AMD without this issue?
or somekind of BW executable launch options like "-nolog" for not logging to disk files or something like that to test if here is the problem.
What windows? Good to know not Amd issue. I dual box still with no issues but I am always testing new stuff but yea.
Win8 64bit with isboxer and vmware 32bit win7. (3770k x2 and i860) Win 7 64bit Host Vmware 32bit Win7 but this one was a FX 8150 AMD though. (Same with win8 64Bit Host) Could it be a Win8 Issue and AMD issue? Maybe I ll try an i7 with Win7. What OS are you running Walter?
You get the ocasional HLL dictionary error or bloated RAM/log file? If i run single BW instance i get ocasional HLL dictionary errors but it doesn't affect the bot functionality/gameplay. On the other hand with 2 instances the log file is filled with this errors and sooner or later one stops grinding. I tried on WIN7 x64 and WIN7 32 in VMWare. Never Tried WIN8 though.
The issue with dictionary errors is universal I believe. With the last few builds, they come eventually, even when running a single instance. However, errors consistently happening every 15 minutes is different than errors consistently happening every hour or two, so there might be various factors at play here.
