Hi, Since HB needs questing profiles now, I coded a tool that scans wowhead, filters results and saves them in a dummy xml profile. This is not an HB plugin but a standalone .exe written in C#. Source code is available. What it does: - Finds quests by zones - Finds quest givers by zones to blacklist them - Filters quests and NPCs - Automaticaly hides blacklisted quests from http://blacklist.honorbuddy.net/list.php - Quest/NPC info: doubleclick a row to open wowhead's related page - Generate an empty questing profile that contains "forced quest" and blacklisted quest givers Small explanation: "recommended level" is the quest difficulty whereas "min level" is the level at which you can get the quest test.xml is a profile sample, you dont need it to run the app. If it helps you writing questing profiles, I'll be glad to improve it. Consider it as open source and under WTFPL; so if anyone wants to fix something, improve it or make something new with this, you can.
Quick question about the zoneID, where do we get this info from to start with ? I am at work behind a firewall and it won't run, just need to be armed with some info before I go home and play with it. G
http://www.wowhead.com/quest=11472 zone 495, cowstats doesn't pick it, even when ticking dailies, aliance and horde, wowhead shows 230 quests for the area, cowstats shows 213 and showing 208 valid entries.
Really great tool. But it would be nice if you cound add the function that you can select two zones at ones
Awesum mate, things to add Quests - Is it a group quest? - tickable box to get group quests or not ( you could be 80 and able to solo them ) Select All Function - so you can select all the quests with a click of a button. Quest names - Links to wow head so you can view the quest for your self. Regards Rosco
Something like a "Blacklist" importer would be nice : ) So we can put in the actual blacklist like: http://blacklist.honorbuddy.net/list.php and your tool automatically "unticks" all quests listed in the "QuestBlacklist"^^ You know what i mean? Let me know if you implement it. EDIT: Also Options to disable PvP and Dungeon Quests!^^
Add an option to also blacklist the questgiver that hands out the quest, and i'll have your babies! Thanks for your contribution edit: also, if its possible to add a comment field with the quest description that pops up when you mousover a quest on wowhead, it would speed up the process of deciding which quests to include or not by alot
