Just got back from a several month break and looking for input on which routine is doing best for each of the druid specs. I mostly play resto. Ove the years I have used both leaves and oracle. Curious to see which resto routine people are finding to be best as of now.
For resto, I'm jumping back and forth between Leaves and Tuanha, Leaves seems to be a little bit better for mana management while on the other hand, Tuanha gets bigger numbers on the charts. Its really your pick, my major issue right now is mana and I hear thats common among druids these days. Side note, I've never tried Oracle on my druid but now that you mention it (and that I know remember that I actually own Oracle), I'll give it a test try tonight if I can find a H BRF group. For balance, Stars has been the best for me, in shit gear, I'm still pulling about 25k DPS on N HM and N BRF (I've yet to test it in H HM/BRF). Tuanha I hear has improved but when I tried it a couple of weeks ago, I had a lot of issues. For feral/guardian, Tuanha has been the best for me but than again, I haven't put a lot of testing time in for either of the specs.
That's news to me. I think it is healthy to compare products. It leads to innovation Lemme know how your oracle run went! Ive been messing around with leaves and oracle a lot the last few days. Oracle has deffinitly stepped up their game. I havent used tuahna much for healing in a while because it seems to be more focused on pvp.
Tried Oracle out for a bit on H BRF (Thogar/Maiden) and made a few attempts on N Blackhand. Without giving logs up, I found that using Leaves averages about 30k HPS, while on the other hand, Oracle kept me anywhere around 23k-25k HPS. Leaves did leave me OOM toward the end of the fights, alternatively, with Oracle I came no where close to being low on mana. Overall, I can't decide between Leaves and Oracle. I'm going to keep tweaking Oracle to see if I can get it to work better (I was using dlr setting on the setting manager for Oracle). For the out of the box kind of thing, Leaves wins hands down, easy to set up and for the most part, pretty efficient. My only gripe is I like to use the mana pot that immobilizes you for 10 seconds and Leaves tends to kick me out of that, wasting the pot. I feel that if you were willing to put the extra work toward perfecting Oracle however, that you would find better results. EDIT: I found that Leaves uses Wild Mushrooms a tad bit better than Oracle did. With Oracle, it felt a little random where it was placed. This can easily be fixed by just putting it down yourself. EDIT2: I also found that Oracle tends to be more reactive when using Displacer Beast manually, namely being that there was no 'delay' from the start of manually pressing Displacer Beast and the bot taking over.
U have the log for it kicking u out of the mana potion? It should properly detect with: "Pause: mana potion detected". Could be I missed an itemId.
I've noticed that leaves tends to do much better healing, also easier to setup, but oracle is very stingy with mana (which can be nice). Thanks for the responses
Gonna be making this decision here soon myself. Seeing as right now I don't have other healers, I don't know if I want to go Oracle, but considering TuanHA for the Druid All in One regardless of what spec I go with Druid, and Leaves, because he's just been a long time CR for Resto Druids. Loyalty and all that jazz.
Try them ALL and decide for YOURSELF. These topics are made far to often and people see them as an opportunity to spam sales pitches!
personal views on comparing CRs are just that, personal. Comparing CRs on the forums is frowned upon because while you may think it encourages competition, you are in essence telling people 'this CR is just not as good, buy this other one' Next thing you know, a developer is losing sales because a few people swayed others decisions to not buy the developers CR. you say 'well, that would make the developer make a product that doesnt suck'. its not your decision to 'make the developer create a product that doesnt suck'. maybe you were bad at setting up the CR and now you have decided to tell others on the forums it was the developers issue, not your own. You dont have that right. There are rules against it. Thats just the way it is. there is a difference between these two statements: A- This CR worked well for me. these are the settings i used. I killed XXX bosses and didnt run out of mana. B- I used two CRs and one is definitely better than the other. one statement is positive for a developer the second statement, while positive for one developer, it comes at the cost of being negative toward another. there are just too many situations that a person can just be wrong about their decision to use one CR over another. THIS is why we comparing CRs on the forums is frowned upon.
I run Leaves for resto and Paws(something liek that) for feral. Works great. Feral tops the damage meters and resto druid does more than fine. However healing is a lot about timing the big heals with the big damage spells...Something a bot dsnt do well enough
