also i read about others having the same problem and tried the "fixes" posted. like avoiding the installer, clean install and such. still nothing.
remove: - microsoft .net framework 4 client profile - microsoft .net framework 4 extended - microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable - microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable restart your pc, download the installationwizard https://www.thebuddyforum.com/attach...uddywizard-zip run them as administrator. after wizard installation is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++ restart
im no expert at this but should'nt installing a new windows uninstall everything ? because i have just got myself an ssd, and in that occation did a fresh windows install. but to be honorst i have completely reinstalled windows multible times prior to posting here, because in the beginning i thought something went wrong in the windows installation. and the above fix is allready tried prior to posting my first post. so i can tell you with 99.9999% certainty that it wont help. but for the sake of doing what im told when people spend their time helping me, i will give it another try. ill post back
ok im now done with the process and i have found the problem in my case at least. i went into installed programs in control panel to delete the files u asked me to. did the uninstallation -> rebooted -> ran the wizard and installed windows update -> rebooted -> tried to run honorbuddy launcher and the problem persisted. then i noticed microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable, microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable, & microsoft visual c++ 2013 x86 redistributable on my HDD (Storage HDD, not the C:/) and found it odd they was placed there. went in to delete the programs in installed programs in control panel, deleted them. and repeated above process. but before i ran the wizard, i went ahead and checked up on the files on my second HDD, and even tho i had uninstalled the programs sucsessfully, they was still there. annd i couldnt delete them from installed programs in control panel as there wasnt any files there according to windows. so i went ahead and deleted the files manually, and repeated the process. now when there isnt and of the programs on the second harddisk the launcher runs, and everything works.
