      Hey

Honorbuddy was working for me yesterday but it seems when I opened it today, I started receiving "Error trying to save the settings file: The file exists." when I opened HonorBuddy once I was in-game. Honorbuddy does however try to continue and I noticed if I left it over a longer period the bot tried to do simple tasks such as killing a nearby mob but would only move a few feet before stopping and spamming the console with "Error trying to save the settings file: The file exists.". HonorbuddyLauncher also crashes once it opens and I hit Launch, so I had to use the HonorBuddy application directly once I was in-game. I looked up the problem and tried all the suggested courses of action such as reinstalling honorbuddy new, running as administrator and deleted the settings folder but to no prevail. I have attached the log from my latest attempt. A quick screenshot of what it looks like in the console( http://gyazo.com/75c7af49fd37c595828d58dc0b1af849 ). Any help I could get would be great.

      Cheers

Hi, JEM_, and thanks for the log.

This appears to be a permissions problem with one or more of the settings files. Not certain how this could happen, but let's try to repair the issue by deleting your .../Honorbuddy/Settings/ directory, and allowing Honorbuddy to put it back with the correct permissions.

      cheers,
      chinajade

Thanks for the response chinajade. I tried what you suggested by deleting the settings folder but the same outcome occurs, "Error trying to save the settings file: The file exists.".

I have McAfee but I tested if it changed anything by turning the firewall off and allowed full internet connection for Honorbuddy but still the error appeared.

wow needs to be running in 32bit mode.
to do this watch this video. it covers every possible way to get wow to start in 32 bit mode.
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St0xz-gf0zg

after wow is started in 32bit mode, get fully logged in and in game, then start honorbuddy by right clicking "honorbuddy.exe" and clicking "Run as Administrator"

Thanks for the video CodnameG, I believe I was already running WoW in 32 bit mode but I changed the other settings to match what was done in the video. Once I was in-game I ran honourbuddy.exe as administrator but the issue still appeared, "Error trying to save the settings file: The file exists.".

I've tried the other possible solutions to this problem but still no luck fixing it. If anyone could help me out that would be great.

well its trying to write to files it needs and there should be no reason why if your running as an admin that the program shouldnt be able to. make sure you dont have any security programs or anything blocking access to those files.

Download the latest version of honorbuddy.
      http://updates.buddyauth.com/GetNewest?filter=Honorbuddy
Then do a clean install into a new folder. Do not reinstall over a previous installation or move items from the old installation into the new one.

I downloaded the newest Honorbuddy from the link provided and did a clean install along with the other instructions provided but still the problem persists. Could it have anything to do with the fact that when I start HonorBuddyLauncher and hit 'launch' it pauses for a few seconds then tells me that honorbuddylauncher has stopped working?

Did you try killing all running HB processes or better re-starting the PC?
