I'm getting this error when trying to update resulting in a failed update: The process does not possess the 'SeSecurityPrivilege' privilege which is required for this operation. I checked into it, and according to Microsoft this error should only be thrown if the user account doesn't have "Manage auditing and security log" policy. But my user account is in the administrators group, and the administrators group is assigned to this policy. Any idea why I'm getting this error and how I can fix it? I know I can just download the updated files, but having an auto updater so that I don't have to change my directory or copy settings over every time, is much more convenient.
Just an update to his. I'd still hope that I can get this fixed eventually and I'm trying to find more info on what might be causing it, but no luck yet. I run my honorbuddy off a network drive (my NAS), so that I only have to worry about maintaining profiles and such in one copy of it that multiple PCs may use. Copying it over to a local drive and updating fixes this error. Like I said, I haven't found any correlation between the error and running on a network drive yet, so still not sure why it's throwing it.
