Hello all, I didn't want to make this post because I was afraid a lot of people would accuse me of not reading, but I assure you that I did read as much as I could. There is a lot of conflicting information about on these forums but hopefully you could answer a few questions for me.

      1) While botting is never "safe", was EVERY account banned in December that previously used HonorBuddy? Most people are referring to it as a banwave, but was this confirmed to be detection or just a mass ban of flagged accounts from tickets?

      2) I wanted to use the questing profile to level up a few toons. I have never been banned before, but I have also only used CR's for about 3 days or so to test them out in raids/dungeons. I now plan to bot toons, one at a time, for about 12-15 hours per day while I sit on the PC and do other things. As long as I am not stuck somewhere, is this the least risky way to use HB?

      3) Are player reports frequent for normal questing activities (not getting stuck)?

Sorry if this information was conveyed elsewhere, I must have missed it. Thank you for the replies in advance.

Nothing will ever be confirmed from HB, or from Blizzard, how the banwave occurred. No, not everyone was banned, nor would you expect Blizz to ban everyone...That would be too obvious that there was a detection. Leaving a group of people not banned will lead to speculation. Either way, you'll never know.

Botting 12-15 hours a day is a sure-fire way to lose your account EVENTUALLY. It may not be on the first character you level, but if you're playing on anything other than an empty server, it's guaranteed that you'll see other people leveling, and it's almost guaranteed that some of those people leveling will know that you're botting.

Think about your question a bit. Do you think botting out in the open world where anyone and everyone can see you is low-risk? Think about how many random people play.

Not a single person in the world outside of Blizzard GM's can tell you how frequent reports are, and those GM's are definitely not coming on these forums and spilling all their secrets. Keep in mind that you can be reported at any time and by anyone. They don't need to talk to you, they don't need to call you out. They can report you and go on with their day and you'll never know you've been reported until the ban comes. Even if they do call you out, what are you going to do? If they do actually report you it may be days to even months before you get banned.

So many people come to these forums expecting to be told that the bot is safe, HB knows all the answers and your account will always be fine. The simple fact is your account is never safe, the HB team is probably speculating as much as the rest of us (and even if they know more than the average user, they definitely aren't telling anyone that they know more than us) and if you bot, you are going to lose your account eventually.
