When you fish too much in the same position/area you will get an error that says: the fish sense something amiss. perhaps it is time to try another location. To read around the web that to avoid this you should fish and move by some steps. Can we implement something to avoid this error? If you try to exp from 1 to 50 you will encount in this many, many times.
Basically you can avoid this by setting up multiple hotspots within the fishing profile. Just edit the profile and move areas and then set it as a hotspot. Then when you can't fish at one the bot will move to the next one.
Thanks alot guys! It seems that profiles I'm using already have multiple hotspots but the problem is still here, it do 2-3 level of fishing and then when I wake up it's spamming the same error over and over. https://www.thebuddyforum.com/rebor.../147278-fischer-profile-fishing-profiles.html These are the profiles
Yes, you cannot farm an area for more then like 7-8 hours before this has a chance of happening and you will have to relog or zone.
I'm scared to think of the person who would actually virtually fish in FFXIV for more than 8 hours without any programmed assistance x.x - oh I wanted to reply to the now closed thread about the latest offset changes. Heh for people who haven't stood knee-deep in ASM/decompilers/etc, this is mostly an annoyance to coders out there (I don't know how Blizzard updates now but at one point there was a hook that was left in which acted as a marker and made it possible to update offsets in a very short amount of time with the right script, good times =p). Anyway, I love the sound of the bot and the price is right but what really stood out was your profile picture of Louise (who is near and dear to my heart as I actually was an intern on Bob's Burgers, mostly buildings and quite a few backgrounds before the show was officially picked up; sadly I ended up needed to move back to the east coast so I don't know if I could have stayed on and possibly even moved up in the ranks =). Keep up the great work!
Actually, you just need to goto a different "fishing hole", catch 1 fish, then you can go back. You can do this in the same zone if there is more than one fishing hole in that zone, or you could zone, catch a fish, go back. It actually would be very possible for the bot to do this, I'd imagine. On a somewhat unrelated note, though, I did notice that when the bot encounters this issue it just spams the "the fish sense something amiss. perhaps it is time to try another location." error and just keeps trying and trying to fish over and over... It actually floods the client with fish requests so fast that when you come back and stop the bot, it keeps going and going and going... I imagine this could look pretty sketch on the servers - I think it would be nice if the bot just stopped altogether after X number of these errors - that's what most other fishing bots on the market do.
The second part is what I was talking about, and why I said you need to change zones. He fished for several hours, at that point when it spam pops up it doesn't send anything to the server.
Thanks for the reply on this. It is at least good to know that this is only client side. I do, however, still maintain that an auto stop would be nice for this... Because as it is now, if I come back and that message is popping up, the message continues to spam for several minutes if I don't zone or relog.
