I'm at work now so this will be brief, but I'll go into more detail when I'm at home.

The auction house can be daunting. Whether you're playing legit or botting, it can still take a huge amount of your time. That is, until you know what you're doing. As someone who used to play the AH legit very successfully, I'll give you a few tips here specifically related to botting. The hardest part of playing the AH is getting access to enough raw materials, and Gatherbuddy solves that for you.

      Addons, addons and more addons

Playing the AH is all about the use of addons. Here are the ones you'll need and how to use them:

      Auctioneer

Auctioneer is an absolutly superb addon for the auction house. You don't have to use all of its features, but if you plan to use the tips in this guide you must make sure you scan once or twice a day or atleast as often as you can. Simply press the play button that appears in the interface after installing it to do a scan.

      Big Picture

Not a necessity, but very useful. Big picture will track the content of your gold and items across all of your characters, including guild bank and standard bank to give you an estimate of your total worth seperated into liquid gold and gold with items. Requires auctioneer scan for updated prices.

      Altoholic

This addon will keep track of how many items you have on each character on your account. You can use it to simply search for an item on your account, check your alts gold, items, progress, achievements and much more. Uses an auction house style interface. This addon is required

      Skillet/Lil Sparky's Workshop

Improved queueing interface. Allows "shopping list" to display mats needed for your current queue and can autobuy from vendor or withdraw them from guild bank etc. It also shows you how much each item on your professions costs to make and how much it will sell for at AH. required for next addon.

      KTQ (KevTools)

This is the gem amongst all of these addons. It allows you to queue up items automatically. For example, if you're doing the Saronite Shuffle with your saronite ore, you don't want to keep manually checking everything do you? With the click of a button you can have everything queued for you. For example you could set your requirements to:

      Runed Scarlet Ruby - 50g
      Bold Scarlet Ruby - 55g
      Thick Autumn's Glow - 20g
      Purified Dreadstone - 150g

You don't want to have to check the AH everytime you want to craft to see what's worth making do you? No.

An example macro (taken from off-site):

      /ktq queue 2 raregems
      /ktq queue 2 epicgems
/ktq queue 2 Bold scarlet ruby
/ktq queue 1 bright scarlet ruby
/ktq queue 2 Solid Sky Sapphire
/ktq queue 2 delicate cardinal ruby
/ktq queue 2 solid majestic zircon
/ktq queue 3 chaotic skyflare diamond

What will this macro do? This will check all of your characters to see if you have the number you have asked to make (example 2 bold scarlet rubys). If you have none, it will make 2. If you have 1 it'll make another 1 and if you have 2 or more it'll leave it. You can see the first keyword is raregems. This is a preset keyword that will make the set amount of all raregems. There are also words such as Glyphs that will make all glyphs.

Wait! I thought you said this will only make what's worth making? It's making everything!

That's right. For this, we use threshold. Our macro would now look like this:

      /ktq set threshold 50g
/ktq queue 2 Bold scarlet ruby
/ktq queue 1 bright scarlet ruby
      /ktq set threshold 25g
      /ktq queue 2 Sky Sapphire
      /ktq set threshold 150g 25s
/ktq queue 2 delicate cardinal ruby

      This will create:

      - Bold Scarlet Rubys if you have less than 2 and they're selling for over 50g.
      - Bright Scarlet Ruby if you have less than 1 and they're selling for over 50g
      - ANY sky sapphires that are selling over 25g and you have less than 2 of.
      - Delicate Cardinal Rubys if you have less than 2 and they're selling for over 150g 25s.

As you can see, once you've created your macros you're set. Simply go to the AH, run a scan to get up-to-date prices and hit your macro. Everything is queued for you and ready.

      Other features of KTQ:

/ktq enable skipsingles will only queue up items where you need to make more than 1. Useful when you're queueing up hundreds of glyphs and have to press the create button a lot.

/ktq set bonusqueue [insert amount here] is more of a sellout feature. If you make 5 of everything, and next time you go to make them it finds you have none left, then you know this is a big seller! Enabling the bonus queue will create extras for ones that have sold out by the amount you specify.

Awesome! So I hit a button to queue all the best items, I've crafted them, now what?

Now we move to Quick Auctions 3. This little baby will automate things further. Once installed, type /qa config. Create item groups by clicking groups, giving it a name, and adding items by clicking them in the Items tab.

Once you have a group setup, set the details it asks for such as how many stacks to post, how many items per stack, minimum price to list, maximum price to list, duration etc.

Create groups for things such as Scarlet Rubys, Autumn's Glow, Saronite Ore, Titanium Ore, Glyphs, anything you will sell often.

Once done, simply open your auction house and click the auctions tab. Press post and boom, they're listed.

      Routine

Once everything's setup correctly and you're in the habbit, you'll log onto your WoW, do a scan, hit your ktq macro and craft everything then move to the auction house and press post.

I'll also be showing you how to become an ultimate glyph factory when I come back to revise this guide.

      CBA. Lazy mans route?

If you can't be bothered with this, download Auctionator. Open auction house, alt+click an item in your bags, look at the list of prices currently on ah. Click the one you want to undercut, press post.

As said above, I'm at work and so I cannot go into extreme details on how to use the addons and cannot check spellings and grammer. I'll come back to this later and use screenshots and more in-depth information on how to set everything up. This is a template.
