I was wondering, what would happen if I had my friend who doesn't bot makes a level 1 bank alt and makes his own guild vault and I was in that guild and put mats and gold to keep it safe there. If I was to get banned on all my accounts could they take his guild away from him because technically can't he say he knew nothing about this blah blah blah and just my accounts be punishable? Also what is the deal with the battle.net launcher is that safe I saw a couple threads asking about that. I mean I use it and have no problems but didn't know what the honorbuddy community had to say about it.
As long as you kept IPs/computers separate (and also payment sources), you should be fine. Personally I have my main and secondary/bot account in the same guild... never really worried about bans and association because I'm not always botting. I actually don't even use my V.P.N. because I know for a fact that Blizz can detect when I'm doing so. Basically I act like I have nothing to hide... which in most cases I don't. Remember, Blizz has absolutely no reservations about people having multiple accounts. If I were you, I wouldn't trust my friend with something like that... if anything ever turned sour between you two, you could stand to lose quite a bit more than his friendship. Just my $0.02.
Yeah I understand where your coming from and im sure you have heard "he's not that type of person" a million times before but he really isn't. I asked him and I was like yo since you dont bot you want to make a level 1 char and guild and I can send money and mats there incase all my account ever all get banned and he's like I don't care as long as I don't get in trouble or can be banned and I was like I don't think so but let me ask because as long as he's not botting it doesnt matter if the guild is full of botters right?
Blizz is known to wipe entire guilds if they suspect that it's full of botters, which could put your friend at risk (especially if that bank toon is on his main account). Personally I wouldn't get him involved in it... I know you have good intentions and you want to keep yourself and your mats/funds protected, but all it takes is one ban or for something else to happen, then both of you lose accounts and gold. If I were you, I'd grab a $5 battlechest account, make one toon the GM, and just leave it. This way you always have access to the guild, you're not putting anyone else's account/toons at risk, and it kinda simplifies the process. If you're not planning on running an extraordinary number of bots at the same time, you shouldn't really have anything to worry about anyway.
No worries.. looks like you're just in time, too. Seems there's a 50% off sale for battlechests and MOP. Remember, you don't have to keep the subscription active for the character on the guild account to remain as the GM.
also so I am using paypal to pay for all 7 of my botting accounts should I change that? I really don't know how but im down for any suggestions and yeah there all on the same ips I don't know how else to not make them so let me hear it.
