So , few days ago I sold around 400 k gold to a guy . Used an account with a bought time code to transfer the gold .This account had a different ip, and was used from another PC(that never used a bot). Got the gold with the clean account from the guild bank then traded it. This guy wasn't chinese , so I thought I would be ok . After 10 hours all my accounts got banned , I mean everything, even the inactive ones . It was a bit of a blow considering I had 300k more gold on my guilds . Now the interesting part after 2 days this guy contacts me and tells me blizzard deleted all his gold and it's my fault then he shows me an e-mail where it says they deleted his gold because it was stolen or hacked and then shows me the date and hour of the e-mail. It was 6 minutes BEFORE all my accounts were banned . And then he wanted to get his money back . So it seems the world is full of scumbags . Question :Am I a scumbag for not giving him his money back or is he one for probably using proxies scamming the gold that he bought and then saying it was stolen? Did this ever happen to you? would you give the money back?
Piss on him, its the risk we all take "cheating" so to speak. I wouldn't doubt he scammed you and now want the real money back too. I would never give the money back you were honorable in your dealings ..move on
I was also thinking that he sold the gold to some china companies then he open a ticket saying that he was hacked. And got the gold back + money from other companies and now also wants back the money from me . Pretty crazy .
Gold reverting is always seller fault. Yes you have to refund him. Reason - right now that gold is in your banned character mailbox. If you are lucky enough to unban this account you will find it there, whole sum. Usually along with some gray crap you recently sold to vendors. This is how their automated anti-account-thief system works. Now you have to think what made you trigger an "account-thief" flag. In most cases its fraud gametime, aka "unfreeze codes", or masked frauded 30 day gametime codes that trade chanells are full of, or busted IP range (public V.P.N usually) This is what hackers that leave your character naked use, this is how they work and this is how blizzard counter them. Rollback pretty much. Except blizz also gives a prophylactic eco ban to "seller". Who is bascially "victim" in their eyes. To prevent more damage to account pretty much. Now if you make a ticket this is where human factor comes in play. At this point a real support guy will finally look at account, if you are fair - you will get your account back with all gold and vendored shit back. If you are not, they will leave ban with restored gold in your mailbox. But again, keep in mind it was you who triggered all this sh!t initially somehow. So yes you have to refund. And no im not that guy.
Hi , I open a ticket and they said that there is no signs of account hacking and that their decision was correct. So what can I do in this case?My account had a game code bought from a website and was ~12 days old . and never boted on it or made any auctions .
