I got banned after I foolishly talked to a guy about buying my ore for bulk. When I declined I'm sure he reported me for botting. (No way im selling this guy ghost iron ore for 25g a stack. Guess he was blackmailing me) Anyways I dont want to lose my main account so what if I xferred my gatherer to another account under a different name and farmed/sold herbs and ore in ah off that and just traded the gold to my main account. Also, anybody who has been banned once given a second chance twice?
Really - don't bot on account that you don't want to lose. I don't play WoW. I only bot it. None of my accounts has higher value then the $'s spend on the account + the HB time key. Make a second account, bot on that one. Don't bot on legit account. You can post on AH items to buy form the other account or put it in a guild an withdraw the gold from there.
ya i botted for years on my main no problem and it finally caught up to me. ill just xfer my gather to another account
Just a quick update! I had another account that I xferred my gatherer too and it is now permantly closed after 2 days of botting! My main account is still safe though. I guess something is up.
same thing happend to me, got a whisper if i sell my ores, i was able to answer with 1 account, and nothing happend. Got same whisper from same person on the other account, was busy at that moment and didn't answer, 1 day later baned Edit: i'll just make use of the black friday discounts.. what a timing eh.
You can appeal the ban, have you written to Blizzard to do so? On topic... this is so annoying. Time and time again I would write in those forums for people to STAY AWAY from people spamming 'COD' offers on trade. It is a black hole for botters and scammers alike, nothing screams botters more so than supplying these people. So while I feel for your loss it's not without anger. But I guess you learnt your lesson, right..? Never, ever ever deal with people spamming trade chat for "Buying endless supplies of Ore" etc etc. At the very least they can trim the botting competition by reporting their suppliers (since let's face it, gathering is so easy they can do it themeselves if they have the relative smarts to shuffle and play AH). So 1.) appeal the ban, 2.) stay clear from COD and 3.) yes character transfers require same name (surname, at least if I recall correctly) on the respective Battle.net accounts. Good luck
Stupid coinsedence, there is no way blizzard bans you within 24 hours after a report, deffo not if that was the first one.
