Has anyone played Swtor with an AMD APU? My comp crapped out during my move to my new apt. I replaced a bunch of parts on it and decided to try out an A10-7870 apu. I havent played it yet b/c I had to go out of town, for a month, pretty much right when my parts came in the mail. So I am a little anxious to see how it plays this game. Ill have some 2666mhz ddr3 ram btw. I am also waffling between a new build and an engagement ring. So my gf gets either a computer or a ring.
Hey man, glad you are still around! So I have no experience with amd apus and swtor (ditched amd a very long time ago). But from what I've read everything should work, but swtor is also CPU and a mem hogger. Also the amd apus need the fastest ddr3 ram you can get, to improve the graphics side. Still in the end I can't give you experienced feedback with that hardware. So what GF do you have, one that games alot or watches shows like getting married / high life and what not? My wife was from the latter so all moneys went to the ring haha No ring and asking for marriage is a no no
Sweet!! You have not abandoned us..er..yet! lol hahaha - rings are so overrated. But that is what society dictates I guess. As a woman I would strongly advice you against the computer idea LOL LOL. Of course I would've preferred a computer but only if it came with a guaranteed upgrade with an option to buy a new one every 6 months. Oh, talking about the computer there...then again...
Get into it a bit man! Give her a ring already! Life comes first mate, always! And then go buy a gaming-rig for the both of ya'll! \o/ Peace // Kabeewm.
The APU's are rather competent in my experience, though keep in mind SWTOR only really cares about single core performance, and per core, Intels usually deliver more than AMDs do.
