Has anyone had success botting the last 2 weeks?

These last couple of weeks a lot of bans have been going out to botters. We dont know the scale of it yet, so it might not be entirely correct to call it a banwave

One theory is that the bans were going out to make banned botters buy new accounts while they were on sale. The sale ended yesterday, so it'll be interesting to see if they ease up on us now, or if this new approach is here to stay (I sure hope not)

Regardless, has anyone NOT been banned while botting during the last 2 weeks? If so, please share some info about what you were doing - gathering, bgs, AHbot etc. In particular this could help clear up whether blizz are actually detecting HB somehow, or if it's just a matter of player reports.

 

A lot of people have not been banned. I myself have not been banned ever. People are getting banned from BG's or Gathering due too using public profiles. You cant expect much when 10,000 other people use the same profile as you.

 

Business as usual for me.

 

People aren't only getting banned for botting BGs and using public GB2 profiles (although I agree that's terrible practice), I've lost 10 accounts in the past 3 weeks using a private GB2 profile I wrote. Something else is up IMO, I don't think HB is detected because if that ever happens shit will hit the fan for everyone, but I never used to lose accounts so quickly.

 

1 account gb2 public profile 10 hours a day every day no problems
2nd account questing, grinding private profile 10 hours a day every day no problems

Not saying there good practise but public and bg don't mean instant trouble

 

Is this implying that the bot actually works without freezing every 10minutes?

 

i dont know what you are doing wrong but my bot works just great going 10+ hours straight without touching hb once. i was botting 12-14h a day in votfw without getting banned using a public profile.

 

I haven't done anything 'wrong' its just the fact that it's in a permanent beta status ever since MoP.

Botting smooth here, no problem at all. Playing on EU.

 

What Bot Bases are you using? I pretty much utilize them all without fail. If you really can't go 10 minutes without a crash its probably error on your end.

 

He's right, HB is not in Perm Beta status. That's the dumbest, most uneducated statement I've heard today regarding programming and program development. If you believe HB is in a perma Beta status then you must think WoW is in a perma Beta status too, because they keep adding new content so it must still be in experimental development right? No, you don't because they release an "Expansion". The only difference is they are a giant company with a bunch of coders and HB is the opposite, so WoW has the ability to cover up more of their bugs than HB. HB is getting expansions and additions as time goes on, you're just dealing with a smaller company so you're seeing more of the background work here.

HB is never force released unstable (without a disclaimer first), which means the most stable version is the version most people are using. If most people can make it work and you can't, then it's indeed user error.

 

I would say there is a slight rise in the ban sektion, this migth be off several resons.

1. WOW is working as intenden no patches for a while less complaints GM?s have more time to investigate and look for boters.

2. GB2 has a fail system when it comes to land on a node anyone seing this can be 100% sure it is a bot and the reports might be more common.

3. you use BGbuddy...

4. You got stuck somewhere humping a tree for 1 hour before you could manually move the char as the unstuck is a bit not worling all the time.

5. You run in a train off bots use a profile many others use, look at the bot do you see any other boters switch profile.

One off those it might be or all working together.

 

The recents banned botters will translate this into "DETECTABLE!!!!!!!"

 

It is etectable if one watsh the bot do his thing he will detect that it is a bot so in some way they are right.

 

Yeah but GM's can't watch every player, and they probably don't watch some one over one or two sparse reports.

 

i questbot and pve raid bot and arena bot all the time with no worries but i adjust the time i run 3 accounts quest farming gold for me and 1 main account where i play on.

 

I got 3 accounts banned in these past weeks, 2 gathering and 1 questing.
The 2 gathering accounts were unbanned after the 72h, I ran them again, and got a permanent ban.

 

Just got my main account suspended for 72 hours. Botted GB2 2.5 hours 2 times a day 3 days of the week. Grinded on my alt for 2 hours 4 times a week on an EU server. I would just call this unlucky, tbh.

(Two weeks before my ban, I got an Email about gold buying - because I bought 40k. I was probably under review)
