Is it possible for Bossland to release the current version of HB and having the option to disable tripwire for those of us who want to use the bot and take our chances of being detected?
it would expose hb lua unlocking mechanism for analysis by blizz and thus make following updates more difficult to release i think it's a single piece of code, non-modular, so it should be difficult to make on it's own By buying HB sub you automatically agree with it's release strategy. Why do you unhappy now?
I am not unhappy. This is a strategy HB has used in the past and was wondering if this was still a viable option.
I am fairly certain it is an option but before it was a question of would the bot be detected. This time I am sure they are confident it would be. So it's a different position. They know you will get banned if they do it.
I would actually be okay with that, simply use a throwaway account accepting the ban. However, I also recognize that it could expose HB code and make it harder to release future updates. So it seems we are just in a tough situation.
I would rather have a secure release so there is no mixed reports with security. Releasing a Hellmary version will just send mixed reports.
they have nothing, that is the fact...a month without update...everything you write here is stupid!!!after 2 ban waves, we talk about security???This will never be safe in that I'm pretty sure
WOW Maxic....WOW Okay. First it's only 3 weeks and this is not unheard of and even you with you 5 years should know that. We have gone 2 months before. As for having nothing may I ask if you know this for sure? Are you casual botter or gold seller? There is a difference between opening a bot up you think is safe and opening a bot up you know is not safe. In the past HB has made errors yes. They opened a bot up they THOUGHT was safe and people got banned. I think they even admitted that. This time they KNOW the bot is detectable as is and they are refusing to open it up because of reasons just like this. If people get banned they become infantile in their responses. The job they are doing is not becoming easier it's becoming harder by the day to stay one step ahead of Blizz. Other bots are releasing but WE don't know if they are safe or not. Maybe they see a door closing and simply don't care and want to release to grab as much money as they can. Time will tell whether their bots are safe or not. My gut tells me Blizz is waiting for HB to open up to see if they get HB clients also. Botting is NEVER safe. We are all walking a tight rope. But there is a difference between walk a tight rope and walking on nothing. I don't want to come off as a FANBOY because I am not. I hate their communication policy. I really think they could improve this a million times over but I do respect the job they do because I cannot do it. Reading some of what is being said gives me a headache. My whole reason for responding to many of the post is because they are slow to communicate. I am trying to help as much as I can. We have come to crossroads before where people said BOTTING WAS OVER and yet here we are many years later. So you can talk and cuss and fight but it won't make a release come faster.
Complaining about the length of time this is taking will do nothing to speed up the process. Just blowing hot air with the moaning. It'll release when it releases simple as that.
Yep, i heard this story, that just our toys getting more expensive over the years. I may purchase my private island anytime soon then
I say no, let Bossland focus on a "non detectable" release. It saves also you money. Just have some patience for the 7.3 release.
Not good idea at all. Even after there used to be tripwire-disabled HB in the past, it had few security concerns, but it was not 100% detectable, just like Raphus stated that HB was a week ago. The difference is, that if they push tripwire-disabled HB, that would means almost immediate detection from Blizz for anyone involved, just the way other technicians think the other 3rd party tools may be detectable since 7.3. Its all about the scale, guys: Even if some suicide farmers are fine to run detectable HB on their bots, once "enough number" of bots gets detected, blizz would decide to roll a banwave, which is a very bad marketing for any bot developer.
Do you make difference between surprise and self-made banwave? Because rushing tripwire-disabled release is exactly self-made banwave, according to Raphus, no matter what!
