I am having a problem with my HB, it wont open... Essentially I start the program and my computer shows that it is running but "not responding" and has a white screen in the program. I can't even get to the logon process. I have done everything from restarting computer to ensuring that it was in compatability mode, to re-downloading HB, to setting it up to run at startup via numerous different processes. I am running windows 7 home operating system. Please help me with this issue. Thank you.
Having Checked Everything, I am running .net framework 4 and it is completely updated and I have also ran windows update to ensure that I have everything up to date. I still have the same problem witht the program.
That is what I figured but as I am not the most computer savvy in terms of service packs and programs I was not sure. I will download and try it and will post response as soon as I can. And to answer the question in regards to admin, yes I am.
Alright, I know this is going a little past HonorBuddy support, but here is what I am working with now. From everything I can tell, windows 7 is "automatically" installed with .net framework 3.5. NOW, according to microsoft, I should be able to go into "programs and features" and be able to find it. This is not the case with my computer. When I check my windows updater, it shows that I am running .net framework 4. I went to the microsoft website and attempted to download the 3.5 program and my computer will not "run" the exe. I have tried running it in compatability mode and as admin and nothing happens, it just sits on my desktop like I never clicked on it. I am at a loss as I can not find the program on my computer and, from what I can read via the microsoft website, the 3.5 is not compatable with windows 7 via download as it is supposed to be pre-installed with windows 7. So either my computer has 3.5 on it and I am just to retarded to find it, or it doesn't have it and I can not repair the program. Any advice?
Okay so after making sure that I turned on 3.5 and making sure it was updated and making sure that all programs were run in admin mode, basically doing everything above, I still get the white screen when I try to load honor buddy. It is the only program that I have this problem with on my computer. I don't know what is blocking it from running. I did notice that when I set the program to run at startup, 1 out of about 20 tries will eventually run properly, but I shouldn't have to redraft my computer 20 times just to get it to work. And no that is not a generalization, I literally worked it out. I am at a loss for what to do here.
