How is the questing trial feedback... is there lots of bugs.. is it stable to move up to more then 1-20 from this time.. what are the developers in need of.. when will fix's be expected? is targeting and res code being looked into .. is cc going to be monitored for not causing issues.. for (targeting code) is black list quest fix going to make it in the next release for all the quest people dont want are current profiles being modified and re-released.. with quest blacklisting to speed up leveling is swimming going to be added as some quests are swimming to use an object.. are all plug-in's going to be modified to work with the latest release as they havent when beta 11 was turned loose... when will we see gb as a plugin..or alt least a update for Gb
a beta version is always a beta mate that means that there are bugs atm we are going to fix bugs and add features btw why you asking for a Gb update?
You're asking questions that either no one has answers to, or answers are not public for yet. There have been 11 betas in the last month, each one fixing (and in some cases breaking) things. Not sure what more you could ask for other than stable progress.
Questing has been out for less than 48 hours and your asking for updates on what's being worked on for the next release?! Posts like this should be deleted, they are clogging up the forum and making it harder to find useful posts.
tony: What? i know its a beta thats why i asked about the bugs.. so there has never been a update to broken software with in a few hours ever before? and how is this not useful? when im asking for everyone to benefit from my question ... right to know kinda mentality Gb is good just wondering if they are planning on messing with it maybe on, adding on demand meshing for it as well, for nodes... just curious ... i guess my curiosity will be the end of me ...
Odd my facing and combat logic works just fine for my bot. Can it win every fight? No Does it win a vast majority that it would normally win? Yes Do I care that it died? No because it doesn't matter if it kills or dies. Either way it moves on. I have no problems getting 3-4 bank tabs of Herbs/Ore for each of my GB bots on a daily basis. I'm not sure that I know of an AH market that can absorb that kind of production on a constant basis without getting saturated and the prices dropping out. I have a feeling that if/when GB gets added to HB that it won't be nearly as efficient as it is right now. It will offer many levels of flexibility that it doesn't right now, but it will also be prone to a lot more variable problems. Flexibility and complexity usually causes more headaches than what its worth in a lot of cases. If all you are looking for is grabbing herbs/mines ect then GB is your best option. If you want to level, quest, and BG then go with HB. Why do they have to be combined into one product at all?
1 It would take advantage of HB's much better pathing while on ground. maybe it would actually be able to find it's way out of water to mount up. 2 take advantage of the CCs, increased survival chance, and better control. 3 ability to write plugins for GB.
keep in mind that Gb is a gathering tool not a leveling tool,so why you need CC's,plugins and improved combat in my opinion is to keep it light as it is
Wrong, It can be improved, even tho its secondary atm, Needs to be implemented into HB so that we can make plugins for it, IE maps ect
I'm sure it can be. I didn't mean it's literally perfect. My point was really that it works very well I don't understand why the OP was calling for an update.
The closer to perfect you get something the more people want from it, look at wowinfinity so far as hacks go that thing is in a world of it's own (maybe there are underground hacks that beat it but i don't know of any public ones that do) yet still ppl bitch and moan on a daily basis because they want the "elite" section to be buyable, the elite section for long enough didn't even do anything. The better they make HB and GB the more people will call for updates and complain that it should do this or that. P.S not saying OP was complaining but there are enough complaints on this forum daily to warrant the remark.
Sure GB is great. But the gathering range being capped at 50 yards just proves improvement is still possible. As was explained in an other topic, the range cap was made to avoid the bot being stuck (on ground, for 1-300 gathering that is). The fact is that when you increase range to 100 yards the bot would cover twice the area (excepted when of course area overlaps due to path loops), more area means more nodes gathered, that's simple maths so far. And I have seen nodes being tracked as far as 115 yards (but flagged as outside of harvest range). I tested this in Wetlands (open land with a few trees, so minimal risk of being stuck there) with harvesting range being pushed to 99 (value edited in memory). This really works and nodes are being harvested further (as shown in the screenshot below), giving (way) more nodes being harvested. (And now that's always the way I'm doing it where the risk of being stuck is minimal.) Possible improvements for GB: - use HB2 navigation system to avoid the bot being stuck and to allow it finding its way to nodes (especially for mining!... so many nodes being blacklisted) - increase gathering range cap to 150 That being said GB is still a very good bot !
To me this doesn't make sense as to why you all are stating all of this atm. All of devs are busy, and yes you are explaining your veiws and opinions, they frankly don't have the time to deal with it because they are working hard on finishing the 2 projects, that I atleast know of, of questing and payed plugins down. During this time GB is most likely going to take a seat out of the spotlight until they decide to fully intergrate it into the HB system as a plugin or to include a lite version of it and still work on it. Either way it's what the devs are able to do. They are busting heads to try and get all these updates out so just let them atleast finish this bit of updates before the QQing for updates on other stuff. Thats just my opinion though, because it sounds like you guys are just complaining over a good product, flawed but still very good.
