You're not minimizing the client, or running a program that would cause the game to stop rendering (e.g., something that switches your desktop display to fullscreen), right? The core code for Release and Beta is the same, Beta just gets more updates sooner to test things before they are put into Release. There's no reason one version should break like you are describing vs the other in that regards. Try restarting your HS client and retrying Release; it's possible you are seeing a HS client issue that triggers after some time.
