Ok so this doesn't directly go with Honorbuddy but I need some help. Im at school and I have a firewall problem. I would like to run wow, HB and SC2 but the school has a firewall that prevents me from using these things. The Firewall program is called Sonicwall. Im not the Brightest with computers so if someone could explain to me in simple terms how to get around the firewall I would be forever indebted to them. Thanks, Cameron
They will be blocking the ports of these games. You will need to tunnel out of the network. Check out something like WoWTunnels.com If they have blocked SSH connections (port 22) then you will have a problem.
Depends how locked down the system is to be-honest, if you can run programs (.exe files) that require installation then you can vpn or proxy through the firewall but both schools i went to a few years ago had this locked down. If there's no protection against it you can always try safe mode and a bit of renaming on the files; but again this depends on the setup. My uni for example stream everything from servers, but luckily they dont care what is run on them My favourite get around is an external usb hard drive with a clone of my laptop hdd, depends if they have locked down the boot sequence.
