thanks for the reply, I am on an admin account (there is only 1 account), I have tried to run both as administrator to see if that did anything but no dice...
check and make sure you don't have an application like comodo sandboxing these applications. also try disabling your anti-virus. doing windows updates and then restarting your machine.
