I'm a veteran, my main account is from September 2006. I started botting only a couple years ago, played by hand since the beggining and Hbuddy is the only bot I've ever touched, but it has come to a point where I cannot play the game by hand anymore. I use it mostly for Tyreal and rotations, with the ocasional leveling and of course some gathering to maintain alts and stuff, but I've never botted "professionally" to make money out of it. Since 5.4, I logged in only to find out I CANNOT play the game by hand anymore, I don't even know where to start ... All my keybinds and action bars are setup for use with Hbuddy, configuring them all and learning all classes and specs gives me nausea just to think about. I really enjoy playing WoW, raiding, pvping, questing ... But I cannot do it by hand anymore ... Its like a drug, and I was wondering if anyone went through this at some point, and what advices can they give me to learn again how to play the game by hand ... Thanks for reading
start a new char. play it by hand. dont set your goal to "get 90 asap" ... set it to "lets see what the day brings and have some fun, explore the world!" it works.
Just go with it, I am exactly the same as you, played since the original beta and I generally login a char, do daily, do a LFR etc but always using Tyrael and I simply cannot bother to play without HB. I am not that bothered about the bot being down right now, I will wait for it to come back up and then probably check it out, its nice to have a break actually
Yeah, I wish this mentality would work for me. I can only play to hit level 90. I get anxious if I'm not powering through the leveling.
What? My hands tremble like crazy. I imagine each day, hopefully come the new update today. My Hand is broken, and i need the HB.
stop seeing wow as a job, start looking at it as a game if you cannot, turn your pc off and grab a football and some friends and go outside.
I like to look at the sun while a stone is floating from a wall, wishes them to be green for a snowflake touching a sheep. Rainbows will be beautifully shine across the city where piggies hugs special macaroni, no kidding.
After I read your post, I felt like I had just posted it myself. I'm the exact same way. I started out playing during TBC, by hand, making macros and keybinds. I did all the manual stuff like a "normal" player does. Then, I found HonorBuddy. Now, after using HonorBuddy for a little over three years, I can't even remember how to play by hand. At first it was just to be lazy, top charts with dps routines, then I started healing and tanking and wanted to top charts there too, and before I knew it I was completely dependent on HonorBuddy to do everything in WoW from rotations to farming to fishing and archaeology. Sadly, though, nowadays I need it to help me out more so with playing than anything else. I have very limited vision, so catching procs and minding those little icons and times under the icons are virtually impossible for me. I rely on HonorBuddy to help me keep track and do things properly. I'm sort of like the guy playing with one hand. I used to use HonorBuddy as a lazy man's cheat device, now it's more like an artificial hand.
i personally prefer to bot while i play football with some friends outside and sell what my bot made.
I know dat feel. I'm personally a veteran player as well, been playing since early vanilla. I can't for the love of God lvl up my mage from 87 to 90 without HB, I start crying after a few quests and log out shortly after. Grinding Emperor Shaohao to Honored and getting 55k+ coins has been a blast might I add. (Notice the sarcasm)
A friend of mine has extensive nerve damage from a neck injury and I told him about this bot. He loves raiding and the general company of friends he has in the game. Wanting to continue raiding with friends as well as others he just couldn't hit his rotation fast enough or click fast enough even with all the macros and add on's he would create or download. Skeptical about this he tried it and has never looked back and because of this blizzard has another paying subscriber rather than lose more money. Now his condition doesn't justify him boting in anyway but more than anything else this really does help a lot of people out there that would have just otherwise dumped this game for similar reasons of not being able to keep up.
Im in the same boat as everyone here. Played for a long time manualy, I was even 1 of the top 5 dps DK's in my server in Cata manualy. But i just dont have the attention span no more to remember when I should use a cooldown or certain skills on specific procs. I play wow and all I like to do is raid. I only farmed ore to pay for alts but now that I have my 4 lv 90's im not doing any more alts. Its already hard enough to gear up I what I have. It takes me the full week to cap my VP for all 4 toons, run all LFR's for the legendary quest items, Run normal ToT for as much as i can for all 4 toons (which is usualy only 2 completed and 1 partial done) I would honestly say I would quit wow if I couldnt use HB no more.
LoL. no thanks. All that was when I wasnt even working. Now that im working again, i work 60 hours a week. Its allmost to the point that I just might delete 2 of the 4 toons and just rotate for the time that i do have to just those too. Or I just might sell my account and start a new account from scratch and just play 1 toon. This is the first time since the nilla days that ive even had more then 2 toons. Normaly i just play 1 forever and delete it when i want to start another. If i havent deleted any of my max levels...id be over 30 toons right now lol
Well, being since I have ADD and I'm also disabled and unable to work, I have 11 90s currently. However, like you said, I've also deleted a few toons on my account as well. I'd have way more than 30 if I hadn't.
i live by a code.. if your too busy to duck hunt or go fishing your too busy. felt the random DD quote need to be thrown in there.
