Hi there Issue is the following: upon using HonorBuddyLauncher (and pressing Launch), it freezes for a bit and then begins to open multiple instances of both HB and WOW. It will open one wow and HB, then second wow and hb, then third and so on. Least i ever had was 2, most was 8. I do NOT click more than once. I literally click "launch" and move my mouse away. I DID try to force close HBL after first instance was opened - same result (3 instances before it went "is not responding" and closed). using LATEST HB
The problem is that i run my WOW without HB in 64 bit, and i dont want to have to change it back and forth every time i decide to use or not use a bot. I would much rather have a fix for the HBL issue
The paths are fine. Like i said, WOW and HB are both launched fine. The issue is that they are launched multiple times instead of just once.
I did a fresh download on my laptop (that never had HB or wow before), as well as a fresh wow install. Exactly the same thing. In fact, my laptop crashed after attempting to simultaneously launch 17 ultra-setting wow instances.
My main PC (that i originally discovered this issue on, and that is my main source for Wow etc) is an absolute beast, i7, SLI 770s, 32gb ram etc. My laptop (which never had WOW or hb, that i only installed them on to check for you if it was machine specific) is i7 zenbook with pretty good stats. Sure it can't run chrysis, but it defo is not slow. If it helps, HBLauncher ALWAYS crashes after it finishes opening instances. So regardless of whether it opens 2, 5 or 7 instances, it will (when done) stop responding and give the standard windows "program is not responding, send report?" query.
I have the same bug. When I run hbuddy.launcher.exe it opens two instances of WoW and two instances of honorbuddy. And about half the time when I close one of the honorbuddies and one of the wows, I have to close the second honorbuddy too because it was attached to the WoW.exe that I closed. But then I just run hbuddy.exe and it attaches to the remaining WoW.exe that's running, and I have a fine time.
well the obvious work around is not to use the launcher, ether start wow.exe directly and hope it dosnt try and re-run the 64bit mode. OR use the regular wow launcher and just Tick or unTick the Use 32bit mode selection. then once logged in and in game start honorbuddy manually.
I have this exact same problem as described above. about 70% of the time, if I use the honorbuddy launcher, it opens multiples instances of WoW and HB. The luancher itself then crashes and gives an windows error and I have to close it manually. Here's one of the errors from my event log: Faulting application name: Honorbuddy.Launcher.exe, version: 2.5.9468.722, time stamp: 0x52d93a79 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18229, time stamp: 0x51fb1116 Exception code: 0xe0434352 and attached:
