Under the lifetime version model, there was not enough people buying the bot for SWTOR and the bot wasn't profitable so they shut down development. The bot was relaunched with the subscription model so that way the bot could still be profitable. I don't mind so much... I'd rather pay a little extra in the long term for the bot if it means they continue development, and the cost is a bit more manageable for those of us on a tight budget
