Hi there, I am having problems getting HB 2.0.0.3144 installed via the InstallerWorkaround; I'm not a computer programer but I am a Techy. Does anyone know the process in copying files over/enabling services/typing commands to get HB installed. OS is 2008 R2 - HB is running as Admin (no UAC) I've got my usual shit organised: .Net 3.5 and 4 Installed. DX9 Selected Not sure what else is needed; Please Help.
what do you mean by extra files ? all you need aside from wow + .net + HB is a profile. The profiles are in the profile section of the forum. Download one and put it somewhere on your comp. Just press load profile in HB and select the prof you downloaded. that's it. unless your question was something else and then you would have to elaborate furter.
HB is failing on the installation phase, im a regular user of HB on my Win7 Box. Here is the install log: Installing assembly 'C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\New folder\Honorbuddy.exe'. Run the file called HonorbuddyInstallerWorkaround.exe as admin which is in the main directory of the bot.
Thanks man, but no luck the install errors out "SPLSEnabler has encounted an error" I had copied this directory over from my Win 7 box, as far as i am aware HB now installed runtime files in the Windows directory and thats what the manual installer does, I was wondering if its possible to acutally manually manually do it.
I did try that, I've also set both HB and the Installer to always run as Admin. Im going to check my .Net installs
by OS is 2008 R2 - did you mean your running Windows Server 2008? if i remember correctly, without modifications to the OS, you couldnt run directx on a server OS, at least not with windows server 2003.
Windows Server 2008 R2 does allow the installation of Direct X. Im going to check; I recently made it a Domain Controller; I might decomission it and try.
just be aware, its not supported software, in the end you might not be able to get the bot to run on windows server 2008.
Fixed; redownloaded [Release] Honorbuddy 2.0.0.3120 release and ran the file; looks like HB only needs to be compliled/registered on the computer once; once thats done it is good to work with all exsisting or all furture copies of the program you download or copy over. Thus I believe the installerworkaround is simply a command program that does this; Although I was not able to determine what command were run (due to no knowledge of .NET language; its probably possible to manually type these commands into cmd. Does anyone know .NET well enough to comment on this?
