I thought this might be a good general discussion, as a fairly new but quite active member of these forums, i would like to find out how other people bot? For example, what plugins do you use? how long do you bot per day? Would you recommend any tips to new botters? Finding this out would be good as i would like to hear other peoples methods of using HB/GB and i think many people would benefit from reading and learning what others have to say. Let me start on how i go about my daily botting.. When i first started botting many months ago using WoW Robot, i wanted to choose the best plugins and standalone utilities for my character. The bot i was using was very buggish and many of the profiles being used with it were about as useful as a Japanese Face Slimmer. I quit wow for a few months after i received Kingslayer and farming ICC became very long winded. Then after returning to WoW for Cataclysm and to play a new character, i researched any new bots and what ones would be worth my time. So i bought HB.. Now i bot everyday for about 12 hours. Using ZNFK with my IRC channel which i can connect to via my iPhone (extremely useful bit of kit when botting!). ZNFK allows me to screenshot my charcter through IRC anywhere in world instantly, it will upload it to an FTP server for my viewing (Safari Browser on the iPhone, or my Work Computer). ZNFK remotely lets me reply to my whispers in my own words very simply, again through my IRC client on the iPhone. This ticks off "AFK botting" from the list as if you reply to the whisper you receive, people think you are active playing WoW. Another Plugin i am a fan of is Buddy Prowl 3, again a very useful plugin if you are an iPhone owner. This gives me "Pop-up Notifications" instantly when someone has whispered me, yelled/say near me, guild chat etc... also updates me when my character has levelled. Which any botter would like to know. These 2 plugins run very well together as you can be instantly notified to any whispers that occurr using BuddyProwl and then easily reply to them within.. say...20 seconds using the IRC client on my phone. I also use Jumpy, it will occasionally Jump when moving to hotspots etc.. (shows a little less botting activity, which is what you are aiming for). I think my next step might be trying to use an IP Tunnel if anyone has any recommendations on that? Thanks for the Read, hopefully you guys can tell me how you go about your methods of botting?
