How does everyone feel about?

All the good custom Routines costing as much or more than Honorbuddy its self?

in order to use the bot good. we need quality routines and well singular doesnt cut it

 

i guess people dont feel to much about it. though i feel for quality routines they shouldnt cost as much as HONORBUDDY

 

I've vented about this before, didn't get anywhere. You're going to get the usual make it yourself replies. But good news is some good free ones are starting to emerge. And Pure isn't bad nor is Portal, Oracle and King. Oh and the druid one isn't half as bad but it does not come close to Googlebee's tanking bear profile.

 

Pure and Oracle are two of the best rotations, and they are completely free.

 

its not the problem that there are routines that cost money.
the problem is the watered down crap (most) of those paid-routine-devs release for "free" to the forums, essentially only making more "customers" buy those paid fuck.

that really grinds my gears.

and: singular has evolved a LOT over the past months. it IS cutting it!



e: also - to be fair - there are several really great CCs released to the forums + still comin' - take a look at nomnomnom's & alxaw's stuff.

 

problem is everyone that is going to do and is working on "free" routines wont be done till the very end of this expansion. just like last year. so really we will get 2 weeks of good routines before a new expansion

 

I just wish TBF would support paid plugins the like. Not just "You can have it, but don't advertise it" - but to actually set up a marketplace to allow people to license their code.


Make some free alternatives, encourage alternative means of paying for them ... something. Hell, take a cut. I think that if HB catered to those that can keep shelling out for HonorBuddy, we'd all be better off.

 

I've paid for three of tuanha's routines, not because I want it just for the features but also for the support of his development. Sure a lit of people will work for free for the "good of the communuty" but lets be honest, I dont go to work for no paycheck.

I developed runescape servers about ten years ago and that community is the most leeching community out there , good luck getting a thanks even from those kids. I can appreciate quality work, and I support this. Developers have the right to release things how they feel and licensing is the same.

If HB staff said no more, the developers would go somewhere they could monetize off of there work.

 

I am happy to support developers who do a good job (e.g. tuanha) and it's like everywhere: good things = expensive | not that good things = cheap. Nevertheless there are fantastic free routines out there and you don't rely on donor versions. It's quite rude to blame all the free routines out there, since their developers also "waste" a lot of time with coding them. (i would also donate to several people if they would not have a donor version)

 

Only routines ive bought is from tuanha, mirabis and millz. I see no problemo with this. I want the best routines available, and they work very hard on their routines, and id like to support that.

To the OP : If your not satisfied with singular or other free routines, you could go checkout PQR. Most routines there is freebies.

Singular comes with the bot; it works fine. As I said earlier, Pure and Oracle are both free and are probably the best two routines out there. What is the problem exactly?

 

You really shouldn't complain about there being paid CRs.

Their devs don't owe you anything, they don't have to work for free.

If anything, complain at the bot devs. They're the ones selling a bot that only half asses everything it does, and needs third party support for most things to be done SOMEWHAT right.

 

I'm a fairly new user but I've been pretty happy with Singular so far. If I had a complaint about it it would be that it is too cautious, but then again I vastly outgear the stuff I'm farming. WTB 'aggressive aoe farming mode' pls

 

Absolutely right, I couldn't agree more.

 

I've purchased all of TuanHA's routines, Mirabis's Leaves, and Millz's Portal and Demonic. I've also, regrettably, purchased Dunatank's routine. I wish I could get my money back for that. It used to work well, but now they don't even support it anymore. It's died off. I also use Singular, PureRotations 2, and Oracle. Honestly, if you look in my HB/Routines folder, you'd see that I have practically every routine for every class and spec. I keep my options open. They all work to do what I want them to do, so I'm happy with them all, paid and free.
