Hi everyone! Thanks to Honorbuddy devs and Kickazz. I'm using his question profile on my first toon and it has been going approximately 8 hours. I just stopped it for it's first nap at an inn while the PC takes a breather. My main question is how does HB decide what gear to take as a quest reward? I also noticed today my toon (hunter) still had his starter weapon (Worn Shortbow) but had a blue two-hander (quest reward). He also had nothing in the following slots: head, neck, both rings and trinkets. The trinkets I think were from my Auto-Equip plugin having those two slots turned off. I have equip white and grey items turned on. I just can't imagine somewhere along the line I didn't get something to put in those slots. The toon is still a little strapped for money as this is a fresh account running on a seperate computer with a seperate outside static IP address (I have 5 coming into my house ) and I want to avoid any association back to my primary account while I'm still learning the ropes. I intend to fill the slots with just about anything at the moment once the character gets a few levels. From doing this process manually I know unless you're great about choosing rewards and not wasting any cash your toon can be broke until the upper 20's just buying skills. Since I kind of blabbed on the two big questions for me are: How does HB pick quest rewards? Is there any link to what your character wears as armor/weapon or is it simply whatever vendors for the most cash? Is auto-equip bugged or did I really not pick-up any head, neck, rings? Thanks much and happy/safe botting!
Sounds very similar to me. I'm still leveling my Hunter and it kept that damn bow forever, I eventually bought one out of the AH and did a quick instance to gear up a little. I set mine to dual-wield when I got the skill not sure what the best configuration for a Hunter is, I'm Beast Hunter so I just use the main weapon for the stats anyway and try to keep a decent bow equipped. I don't think it's bugged at all. I think you just don't come across any head, neck, or rings until you instance, buy, or much later than the early levels.
