im very new to use bots just started this week. im level 71atm i did quest my char to level 21 after that have i been boting for 3days straight. so my question is how longe can i let it bot before its getting dangerous? out of the 3days i have been boting i have been watching it 14hours a day
If you played manually for 3 days straight, you'd be borderline dead. Use some common sense if this bothers you. Try asking yourself "would an actual player do this?" and go from there.
There isn't a secret number and the way blizzard catches botters is unknown. However, there are a few theories. One is that it is through player reports. If you bot for three days straight, the risk of someone seeing you in the same spot over and over again is pretty high. But I bot 24/7 and havent been banned or even accused of botting. Another "less believed" theory is that the bot can be detected by blizzard. If that is the case, then the amount of time wont matter. Also, how well known are your botting toons on your server? Do you think people have you on their friends list? Someone might of added you if you were questing to 21 with them thinking you guys would group quest again. If you are on his friends list then he probably notices that you have been on for a long time. No way to know for sure though. Basically, no one knows. Some people get banned for botting 4 hours a day, others get banned for botting 24/7. In my opinion, if you are watching it for 14 hours, then just play it by hand. At least for a few hours.
Well, I personally bot from 8AM in the morning, to 4 PM (this is my time in school), get home, play some, if I'm going out I log out, and when I go to sleep ~1AM it's on till ~4AM(Exit Timer). NEVER been banned, on two years. So basicly, a little more like a human. You log out an hour or two if you're bored, or got other stuff to do. Playing some before you go to sleep, sleep for a while, start playing.. ofc I sometime vary, I mean, weekends etc. Just.. 3 days, it's probably watched already.
