I want to make gold by running auctions. How risky is it? What might make it more or less risky? For example, I'm guessing it would be super risky if I run one character for hours at a time. Thanks!

Just put yourself in the shoes of a human player and apply common sense - it should be enough.

Posting 200 auctions of full stack (200) items per day? High Risk. Posting under 10 per day? Low risk, etc.

Thanks! I may try some low volume trading.

I tested this once with a few accounts in the past. its not about the amount pre say. its about the amount that will piss off so many people to mass report you.

Posting 100+ stacks a day on one toon would get me banned pretty quick I noticed.
Yet posting 12 stacks across 8 characters has been a safe play for years.

Also there are tons of people in trade chat willing to buy bulk atm so its great. AH is not needed early in an expansion.

would it be safe to guess that you post the prices so low that no one would undercut you?

Currently I don't need to undercut anything. because mats are real hot right now. I was more thinking of WOD stuff.
