It is getting close to the 18th in the USA so I thought I would update. To make this work we need as many people as possible to at least give this a go. The worse that can happen is you do not get a sale for 4 or 5 days and then you drop your price and you sell. So all you are risking is a little time. Seeing as a lot of you are selling for under $8/m I thought a good place to start would be $11/m How to become a broker and not a begger. 1. DO NOT ASK YOUR CLIENT. "WHAT ARE YOU PAYING TODAY ?" You should never ask this ever. 2. STATE YOUR STOCK - SERVER - PRICE PER MILLION. eg: SWTOR - The Shadowlands - US - 9m - $11/m Translation: I have 9 million swtor credits to sell on The Shadowlands US server for $11 per million. 3. When/if your client asks: Why so high ? Answer: Sorry price has gone up. (Thats it, no more. They are not your friend as much as they would like you to believe) Can you lower price to $X for me please ? Answer: No sorry, if you need credits later please send me a message. (That's it, no more) 4. You most probably will not get a sale at this stage, do not become worried, this is part of the game. 5. Now you keep updating your clients with stock updates as shown above every 3 - 4 hours. Once the non participating people are cleaned out and the sellers start getting massive demand they will be force to A: Not supply clients or B: raise credit prices and start to buy at our higher price. This is not going to happen in a couple of hours, stick to your guns and ride it out for a week, keep updating your stock levels keep reminding them you have lovely credits to sell. ALWAYS BE POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. If this works, we all profit. If this does not work, next week reduce your price by $1 per day until you get a sale. For the week we do this monitor the websites you sell to and see if they raise the price of credits. If they do then you know for sure that what we are doing is working and you should just hold out a little longer. Good luck everyone and remember $1 USD = $6 YUAN so even $5 USD = $30 YUAN The sellers are making a lot more than you think they are. Please feel free to discuss or encourage your fellow botters. Spread the word to other swtor botters who do not read the forums very much and let them know. We have nothing to lose and only extra cash to be made. Crikey.
I'll give it a try for a little bit... I already raised my price a lot, like I said I would in that other thread, but I haven't made a sale in like a week . To be fair, I haven't exactly been around and the bot has been crashing, though, so I don't have a ton of stock. I'm willing to play ball for a little bit though. This is all supplemental income for me so it's not that big a deal if I don't sell anything for a couple weeks.
Quick update. I currently have people wanting to buy at $10/m but I am politely declining. Weekend is almost here. I definitely believe I will get $11 this weekend. Thanks to everyone participating. This is working. And people thought that the "chinese" solely control the market.
Wish I had your contacts Ever since I moved up to 10/M I haven't had any buyers talk to me in a week. May have to drop my price soon. Soz.
I could not get $11/m. I am getting slower sales at $10/m but still selling out. There was massive demand over the weekend so people were still selling at low prices. Thanks for anyone who actually gave this a go, I don't think it was many. heh.
