Hey there, I'm looking for a new online game where I can safely use a bot just for the combat routines (was playing WoW since Classic and using Honorbuddy since MoP but now this game gets really old for me). Wildstar is one option but I'm not sure if the Wildstar bot is very well supported with CR's and the bot itself. Reborn is another option and since the reborn forum seems more frequently used then Wildstar I wanted to hear how the bot is in its current state and if there are good CR's for every class and if they are good supported. I don't wanna buy a bot just to notice that in a month or so there are no working CR's anymore or the bot itself gets closed because it wasn't a financial success. And how's the ban rate? I won't use this bot for grinding or farming, just for the combat routines everything else I want to do by myself. Thanks in advance.
Most classes have pretty decent routines available. If you are using it solely for combat routines, then you shouldn't get banned/warned at all. I have been using this since beta and have yet to receive a single ban/suspension. It is very safe.
The Wildstar bot is VERY new. It came out maybe two months ago? I looked into getting it too, but it is in its infancy so I haven't done anything with it yet. I have the game just sitting waiting to be activated. Anyway, reborn has come along way since I started using it this past summer. We have seen a lot of large additions, the latest of which is crafting (and it seems to be SOLID). As with all buddy bots you are somewhat at the mercy of the community (or your own coding skill). It stands to reason that WoW, with by far the largest playerbase, is also going to have the largest community. Still, as I said, reborn has come a long way and I am rather happy with it. I leveld three classes by hand and everything else was taken to 50 with this bot (fishing I used another bot before I discovered this one). My chocobo is rank 16, and I pull in anywhere from 2-10 million gil a week depending on how dedicated I am with gathering. If I take a little time and map out what to gather and then craft, I can do even better, but I am generally just dumping various raw materials since I am lazy lol. I point this out because you can basically just buy (or craft, if dedicated) some relatively top tier gear to gtet yourself ready to do end game stuff without having to grind dungeons all day. What the bot DOESN'T do is run dungeons for you or PVP (it does for wolve's den but that is dead...). It also doesn't do leves and, while questing is supported, there is very little currently in the ways of storyline quests (which are essentially required to be completed else you won't be able to do anything end game related). There are some devs working on it, but it is obviously SLOW work. So, what I am getting at, is you will probably have to do a decent bit of work on your own. You can just run a comabat assist with comabt routines and do quests manually. But you will most probably have to take your first class to 50 with much more work than you will every subsequent class; once you have one class to 50 and most of your quests completed you can just have fatebot level everythng else for you. You will still (currently) have to do all the class quests.
I've been farming almost 24/7 on two accounts for 5 months or so now and haven't got a single warning. I think Square cares less than Blizzard.
Hey there, thanks for the in depth info. As I said I will be using the bot only for the CR's just like I did with Honorbuddy. Good to hear that this isn't a ban reason. Now I'm only struggling to choose between Wildstar or Reborn. While Wildstar has a nice active combat system, Reborn seems to have a more elaborate bot. I could just buy both but I don't have time to play both games. In most online games I play a support character like a healer. Which of the bots have a better CR for healers? And do all CR's work for leveling or only for max level? Thanks in advance.
I can't speak to Wildbuddy, but there's really only one fully fleshed our CR for healing, and that's Magitek. Unfortunately, the dev who created Magitek has moved on from RB and no longer maintains it. It does still work, however, and I heal CT, ST, and WoD using the Magitek routine to this day with no issues. I know Ultima will have healing someday, but afaik it doesn't yet, and I think that's true of RebornCo and Kupper, but I don't use those so I'm not sure.
Magitek's healing routines are fine for dungeon crawling and lesser (older) raids, but I doubt any healing routine can be competitive in end-game raids. I'm not sure how healing works in WoW raids, but in this game is very dependent on timing and preparation rather than twitch reactions. By the time someone has taken damage, and the routine sees that and starts a heal, its often already too late. For example, recent bosses have all had a tank-killer move, that will kill them if they dont have healer shields/mitigation. Healers have to know the timing and be ready for it long before the tank takes any damage. That's not to say that combat assist can't be useful, as you can use it to manage buffs and pet actions, but you're in for a rough ride if you want it to do all your healing for you. Combat assist is primarily useful for dps classes, where you can achieve pretty near optimal dps, assuming you do positionals correctly. Most routines, even if they're geared towards level 50, will still work decently well at lower levels. Ultima I think is designed to be compatible <50 as well.
Hey there, wow that's a bummer. In WoW healing is just a game of whack-a-mole hence why I use a CR for me to do it. Maybe I get into this prediction mechanic when I played enough.
well in ff14, the bosses have many unique attacks that gives unique debuffs and so on so obv trying to bot your way through the dungeon/boss isnt ideal. but combat assist does help alot if you are not trying to afk/bot your way through dungeons which will probably not happen..if you want to afk/bot your way through a dungeon, you'd be better off as a dps since youre not that important if you die and stay dead...

u can get the 1 day trial if you are unsure.its cheap i think? and if it goes down because of maintenance, you can send a pm to the admins and they'll sort you out (i think, i read something along those lines in another thread) combat assist is fantastic and it does everything else good.
