I won't say when, in case Blizzard reads these forums. I was quest botting via Kick's Profiles today, and I must have been reported. The sad thing is the report most likely came from another botter. I wasn't competing with the for resources or in PVP, I was questing. That alone is repulsive. First, I'd like to let them know that there is a special place in hell for hypocrites that report other botters. Anyway, I was randomly teleported from where I was questing to a zone I haven't set foot in for over five years. Luckily, I was at the keyboard when it happened. It sad there doing nothing for a moment or two, and I hearthstoned and checked the AH, bought some stuff. Repaired. Had a couple pet battles. And then went back to leveling, manually for a few. I made a comment to buddy that I was just randomly teleported somewhere and that I had no idea what was going on. He said that's what GMs do to see if you're botting, and it means someone reported me. (I already know this) Then I was like "Oh really? How long before the GM realizes that someone is being a troll and leaves me the fuck alone, ya think?" So, a few minutes later, I went back to botting, this time with LogMeOut activated to trigger if I teleport bizarrely. The reason I post is for science. I will keep you updated on the outcome. Thus far, all seems to be ok.
Don't be too sure it was another botter who reported you, I am sure 99% of botters will ignore other bots. It is also worth saying that it is painfully obvious when someone is using a moving bot and I completely recommend having full control of your movement if you do not want to get caught.
like it takes a botter to spot someone botting? U take this way to serious. And if you got teleported, you would have been banned instantly if suspected. Its done as u say by a gm and its done by hand. He wont leave your ass alone if he thinks your botting.
I'm sorry to say that but if you are so nervous about being reported and/or lose an account you should not bot. If you think this is offensive, then I say no! I believe you should set your mind free from this nonsense, and get the fun out of smart botting.
Keeps the downs to a minimum guys. I'm doing this for everyone's benefit. There is no benefit for me to be dishonest. So far, not further action. No teleportation or GM intervention. I'm guessing that I responding fairly normally, and he moved on. If you don't think botters report other botters, than you are deluded and naive. Never underestimate the pettiness of the internet.
How do you have a working version of LogMeOut? If I were you I would probably only bot on that account assisted for a few weeks. Especially if you're just leveling, might even go work on something completely unrelated for a few days.
I'm getting an error message when I try to acquire it. ----------------- Pffft, when I see another botter I usually leave the area. Not worth the trouble.
Seems as though you need to be reported quite a few times for the same reason to get checked out. Just doesn't make sense for a GM to investigate you off of a single report.
We are talking about this product, correct? https://www.thebuddyforum.com/thebu...ed/205084-logmeout-warcraft-disconnecter.html
Seems really silly to give a botter a heads up to move their gold and possibly transfer toons to a safe account before they ban an account. But then again maybe they do teleports out of boredom
