      [h=3]I keep getting a "Styx.Helpers.CharacterSettings" exception[/h]

      • The WoWclient must be using DirectX9?not DirectX11, not OpenGL.
      Follow the remedy listed above for "WoW Crashes / Graphics API Issue", then try again to use Honorbuddy

      -Shows correctly as D3D9

      • Honorbuddy should be running in Administrator mode.
      Right-click on Honorbuddy → "Run as Administrator"

      did not work, threw same exception.
      • Honorbuddy's configuration files have become corrupt
      Visit your <Honorbuddy_install_dir>/Settings directory, and delete files of the form SettingFileName_toonname.xml. There will be several files you will need to delete?you don't need to delete all the settings files?just the ones associated with the affected toon.After you've done this, you will need to put the settings for this toon back in place using the Honorbuddy GUI.

      - this is a fresh install, can't even get it to attach to create these files... The folder inside has no files with any of my toons names.
      • Honorbuddy shouldn't be installed C:\Program Files
      Certain versions of Windoze enhance the protections afforded to files placed in C:\Program Files. Such addition protections interfere with the proper operation of Honorbuddy.Move the Honorbuddy directory to another location. We suggest putting it under C:\Games.

      - Did unzip HB on a different drive. Placed folder on desktop and ran as admin... Threw same error..

      Re downloaded and unzipped in a clean folder on the desktop

      same error.

      Is it an issue that the user that is being used is not an administrator (even though I am running as admin)?

      I will see if i can get on a admin user and try there..

      thanks!

      delete the folder, it should automatically make a new one as it needs it.
