My i5 have startet to run at 75-90% CPU usage with only four sessions running.. Earlier on, when I had 6-8 sessions running, it used 40-55% CPU. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

I have a minimim of addons, I only got carbonite and titan gold on one session.

The Wow sessions are using 8-25% CPU each.

Another thing is that two out of three sessions on the same server is lagging all the time. The lag is a bit like the lag there can be if alot of people are online i Dalaran.

The CPU is a core i5 750 CPU. My video card is a radeon HD 5770. I have 8 GB of kingston DDR3 ram with about 3,5 GB in use.

      That's weird...
Checked if there are any programs running in the background that might be hogging the cpu usuage?
Also, did you check if your setting are at "low" and got the fps limited? cause if Vsync is off the clients might use too much cpu.

Well when I Ctrl+Alt+Delete and check the processes, it is wow.exe and HB/GB exe that is using the CPU. I will check if the fps is limited, I don't think so cause I have never experienced this problem in my PC's eight months life. I found a macro to lower the steeings even more than it is possible from the display settings so the graphics are at the absolutely lowest level.

I've found out that it two of four sessions that does the problem. I have two newly startet HB's, they are using 25% CPU each while the two others are using 6-8%. Does anyone have a clue about whats wrong here?

I have had this problem and still remain to do so, not with an i5 but with my Acer 8930g, cpu will just spike out of nowhere with 4 bots running and go from 50% to 100%, even if no bots are in busy areas either, that's the point, I could see why it would spike if one bot warped to dalaran but it just comes out of anywhere.
I'm about to install 64 bit windows 7 and see if that helps seeing as I have 4gb ram and using 32 bit.

I coulden't find a solution so I have just formatted and are currently installing WoW again. I'm excited to see if this helped me out. It's a shame really to format cause I ran flawless beside the laggy stuff.
The odd thing is that it made problems from the first second i started the two characters. Another odd thing is that I have a character on theat realm already, he is running smooth.
