With as many 72 hour and perma bans that are being reported. I wanted to pose the question, how is the community taking this? What I mean is from reading the last week on here during my breaks at work. There seems to be alot more reports of bans from people who have been smart about their botting or have just logged on and ran their not for the first time with no reason for getting caught. So do we think blizzard has finally found a way to tag hb and gb when ran? Also what do you out there who are serious botters, who have done this for a long time successfuly think about this? I have been botting since wotlk with no issues and have always played it better safe then sorry. I have leveled a 85 rogue, Dk, warrior , and Druid with Max herb, mining, jc, enchanting, skinning, blacksmithing, inscription, and leather working plus a hand full of other toond at various levels. So I am a seasoned botter but Don't know how to feel about the recent bans. This is a serious question.
im working under the theory that someone else posed..holidays over so now the massive amounts of reports are finally being taken care of and these 72 hr bans are just warning shots because they know were a growing community. if they actually had evidence that ppl were botting, i have to believe they would be outright bans supporting the theory that hb/gb are still undetectable. what would be more interesting is knowing HOW were botting. are we getting reported doing bgs/dungeons/grinding? myself i think it was using gb like 2 weeks ago in uldum im sure i ganked some nodes which pissed some ppl off. no matter. anyway just my 2 cents
I thought that as well but with all of the recent bans, I have to believe that there is more to it because there has been multi post about people just upgrading and such
There just haven't been enough bans for me to believe that HB/GB is being detected. If they were detecting the bot anyone that was using it would be getting banned and there are a lot of people that are still going strong.
It would appear it only involves HB, as I've used HB twice to level up new farming toons and gotten suspensions, all while I had two other toons farming 22/7 with GB and nothing.. now those two that were suspended are leveling thru GB and nothing.. I wouldnt touch HB, not even with the new GB into HB, I'll stick with GB till things thin out
dude Arch( which is HB) is running flawless, i had a temp ban the other day on a grinding only account while i had a arch account going( no ban).. the truth will come out sooner or later
i read into this for 2 seconds i would say experanced botter are like this sucks and new botters are like omg you can get banned i didnt think it could really happen. Just dont farm 24/7...well in high pop areas
