Ok.. thought i'd check to see if the realms might have come online early. I loaded up my client, logged in and a patch is incoming. I let it run, looked like a simple tools patch: Downloading patch *** Tools-4.0.1.2210-x86-Win-enUS-UPDATE **** Then it did its thing then BAM!!! "Launcher cannot obtain patching information. Please check your Internet configuration." So i tried my other client. Opened up, this one uses an authenticator, logged in and no patch. So I tried yet another. Opened up, logged in (this has no authenticator), and the patch downloads.. and BAM!!! same error. So now 2 of 3 clients are glitched cause of a tools patch that went bad (it installed, and restarted, its on the restart it fails. Went back to the second client and after logging in, here comes the patch and.. yep.. BAM!!! Gotta love blizzard.. its going to be a long day LOL Wonder how long to fix their fix... edit: sorry pulled the full link had a brain fart. Not a spam link.. but still for the paranoid ones.. i removed it
The link probably didn't need to be posted, but I can confirm this. After downloading and "updating", it now is broken upon launch of WoW.exe. XtO
No go... from the blizz forums.. its a patch glitch.. its being flooded with reports about it. Not a good day not a good day at all.. Tony though if you'd like i can try to get some logs and post.... ** runs for his life **
Update: Found that its just the Launcher that is broken..... if you run wow.exe directly it works fine. SO til its fixed bypass launcher.exe and run wow.exe instead. Plus realms coming up
This happened to me and several friends of mine with the 4.0.6 patch, we all had to reinstall our game -.- Sander92
