Got my only account banned about a week ago while my toon was doing some Archaeology. I had it running almost 2 full days which was stupid of me but the odd part is I went around looking at other people's ban stories and I think I may just be unlucky? My account never had a temp ban or warning, completely clean, I had a WoW acc as well as SC2, D3 and Hearthstone. I received a perma-ban so of course I submitted a couple tickets trying to dispute it, feeding them the usual line "I'm not a botter nor have I ever botted etc etc" but all I got was the generic copy/paste replies saying their findings were correct and the last response stated that because my issue has been viewed by multiple staff members anymore tickets about the issue would not be replied to. I've seen other people only receive 72 hour bans or get their perma-ban removed after submitting tickets, I'm just wondering why I got boned so hard having a completely clean account and only having the bot on 2 days. I've since gotten another account but my question is should I continue to hassle them in the hopes of getting my account back? Or would I just draw unneeded attention to my new account (on the same IP)?
I'm a strong believer in not trying to bs Blizz by saying you weren't botting when you know you're caught. Personally, I would give someone an instaban and deny any appeals if the person thinks I'm that stupid too....think about it!
Someone probably reported you and then they followed you a bit and figure out it was a bot. Don't think you can get it back.
Just need to be a bit more realistic with your online time with it. Also need to monitor. I never bot unless i'm at the computer doing other things so i can keep an eye on it.
I know they're not fools but I figured I may as well try anyway considering all the ban stories I've seen of people actually getting their account back. Funny thing is I was at the pc when it happened playing a different game on my other monitor, didn't notice anyone following me or any whispers but I could have missed it. It disconnected and brought me to the login screen, I assumed it was just a random d/c and didn't try to re-log and went on playing my other game. Like I said I know I should have stopped it after running it for so long but I guess I got too confident lol, no harm done I have a new account with a boosted 90 which I probably won't bot on for a while. I have a feeling they probably had irrefutable evidence of my botting and may be watching my IP more closely. Just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else or seemed a little unorthodox.
