      hey guys

looked in my mailbox in junk section saw an email which looks like from blizzard. doesn't look like a funky email but this is the first time ever an email from them has been stopped as spam/scam/junk

      in it says

      Battle.net Account Verification

      Account Name: email@email.com

      Hello!

Because you are involved in the trading of gold and equipment, legitimately means playing with an unaltered game client. Doing otherwise violates our policies for Battle.net and World of Warcraft, and it goes against the spirit of fair play that all of our games are based on. We strongly recommend that you avoid using any hacks, *****s, bots, or exploits. Suspensions and bans of players that have used or start using *****s and hacks.

You can confirm that you are the original owner of the account to this secure website with: http:// us.battle.net/support/en/security/webform

Note: If you ignore this mail your account can and will be closed permanently.

      Enjoy your adventures!
      Blizzard Entertainment

Interesting part I go to that link they posted and it doesn't exist.
funny enough I got 6 licenses on this account and not to mention which license is under review let alone mentioning my full name and that is came from the billing@blizzard.com
just seems fishy. the email also doesn't link straight there has some weird stuff before linking there could this be a scam email or this is legite? been targeting by gold scammers before

well I don't want to paste the real link in
but at start it has some weird stuff like http:// battlenet.qipe.(somerandom[/url] domain that does not load properly by self).net= that link that was originally posted.
just thought I ask since I never seen blizzard send a warning email out like this before, normally they ban people even if hacked doing no botting at all then you have to contact them to recover the account let alone the other information I posted about my full name and license number unless I'm totally wrong.

It's a scam, just ignore it. The link probably leads to something like wowbattle.cn. I get those daily, with stupid shit like 'abnormal account' or 'abnormal plugin board' (wtf?) in it... I pity the fool who falls for this poorly written bullshit.

If you own a domain, you can tag any subdomain to it.
      ex: http://battlenet.azyul.com/

Also, it being an email, they could always mask the link.
Just how this link to WoWhead: http://wowhead.com/ actually goes to http://google.com/ and vise-versa.

All that aside, Blizzard wouldn't ask you to "verify" your account because they suspect you're a gold seller or using hacks.
That just doesn't make any sense at all.
It's just a very terribly put together scam attempt.

The English in that email gives me cancer. There's no way it came from Blizzard.

Yes, the wording alone gives everything away. A 10 year old can put sentences together better than that. Blizzard has the money to get people to write clear, concise emails rather than that rubbish.

You may want to do some research on phishing schemes. In fact, you clearly need to do this research. The fact that you need to ask about such an obvious scam makes me wonder about the security of your online information.

      This^^^^^

Scammers send those out phishing for usernames and passwords.
some are pretty legit looking. Blizzard wouldn't warn someone like that ever.
At best they'd ban you for 72 hours and send you an email saying don't do it again.
i had my main account hacked once and chanced the email after. still to this day i get "warning emails" from blizzard in that email, even though my account inst even associated with it any longer.

I am guessing you may have bought gold from that email account recently? It is a Phishing attempt for sure.
