I've heard that it is safe, and that it isn't. My friend told me that there were a lot of people getting 72 hr and perma-banned since a patch that supposedly added an anti-cheat. I just wanted to know if this was true because I don't have a lot of money so I cant just buy a new account each time I get banned. I use gather buddy more than anything but I also use dungeon buddy every once in a while.

So to clear things up. Is it or is it not safe to bot as of now(August)?

      Thanks for the time!

      1. You're botting.
      2. If you're botting, you can get ban anyway mate ;).
      3. There never will be 100% guaranteed that it is safe. Ingame GM can check you anyway.

      P.S.

      Botting second day 24/7

I think most if not all of the recent bans are for gatherbuddy. I'm not sure if that's because us Tyriel or LazyRaider users care more about keeping our accounts and aren't botting or if Gatherbuddy style botting is being targeted, but it's best to be careful.

Increased risk (quoting a dev's post) compared to months ago as warden has been updated (apparently it's the first real update of concern in 3 years), your choice to bot or not... it's a benefit to us if you don't because it's more ores and herbs for us :D

Warden has been updated in some way, and that is all we know at the moment.

We won't know until the end of August when they tell us what changed with Warden.

Rule of thumb, if you bot in any form, you are at risk.

It could be an increased risk and they are waiting for a big ban wave or it could be nothing, with nothing happening in the end.

We don't know and everything is just speculation until HB devs say what it is.

I have decided to wait it out, until we know what is going on with Warden, I also only use HB for CR but this gives me a chance to learn the classes.

Man I come back to HB and WoW after 4 months and hear the warden stuff. So pist. Guess I'll but the SWTOR bot again and give that a go for a few months.
