I know its more common for bots to use windowed or windowed fullscreen. I dont know if this is due to a perceived lack of necessity, a level of difficulty, or something else alltogether. Ive recently gotten back into ffxiv and with the dx11 client and my new gpu(s) i'd like to run fullscreen. The reason being that at 5k I only get about 40fps on maximum due to sli not working in windowed. If i go fullscreen I get double that and all is right in the world. I hate the fact I often have to run with crap graphics due to botting. To be fair, I dont mind if im just afk grinding.. but when I'm using it to rotation-bot I'd like to enjoy the game on all levels including fidelity. I did try it and it does work, but eventually ended up crashing. I ran/run it on my other monitor and run the game fullscreen on my main monitor. I wont go into specifics for obvious reasons but lets just say this is possible with a competitor. Would rather be using this though for several reasons. Just curious if this is able to be looked at or if its well past that point and not do-able in the bots current incarnation. Even if we can get it working in full screen for rotations only i'd be elated as thats all im really after to begin with
Act works you just can't use the overlay which I'm sure is what you mean.. This doesn't apply to me as I use it on another monitor. Even so - bots exist which allow an in game overlay in full screen too, but I'm sure the coding is quite different and has to be implemented with that in mind. Still - I can live without any type of overlay(s) if that's the concession I have to make
Yes. As per the part about "it does work but" It eventually ends up crashing. Happened twice now. Not sure if it's due to the botbase or due to hotkeys but if there's a way for me to log what's crashing it and perhaps forward it to you that would rock. Prior to it crashing FFXIV it does work exactly how I want it to though It's been updated a couple of times since I last tried so I'll give her another rip though!
