The amount of flaws with this bot is immense. Healing doesnt work, default combat routines of take pauses, most of the time the f7-f12 hotkeys wont work, Almost everytime you load a new area up, the bot stops giving wide variety of errors of why it doesnt work. ive seen like 10 different error codes in the last day since i subbed. where is the resources to fix the bot.
I personally don't think it's dying. Just a little broken for some. Works fine for me, with the off exception. f7-f12 hotkeys works fine for me Loading into new areas depends on what you are doing. For me i only use combat bot and a couple of dailies, and they seem to be ok. Error codes only when i close buddywing or SWTOR improperly. On the off chance it will crash but this is very rare for me. Been subbed for a solid couple of months
The f keys I fixed in the test edition of default combat, they weren't right at all before. Healing is the PC returns 0% health because the bot itself isn't getting maxhealth correctly. So it basically can scrape the health but when you multiply anything x0 you get 0. Bot trys like hell to heal the person with 0% that tops the list of everyone at 0% and spam heals. Can only be fixed on the buddywing level. New areas you have to hit the reload button which does help a lot and was a newer addition.
It's confusing to say the least that your F key corrections weren't added to default combat by now. Bot is not dead it is what it is so I deal with it.
I uploaded the full code to the test edition with all the fixes etc quite some time ago. I think scoundrel routine wouldn't show compile online but compiled fine etc. I honestly haven't heard anything on that fork I did. I put it up there and fixed and added tons of features but I don't have any control on the other side. F-keys have been broke since default combat was launched, I found those when I was tracking down all the healing issues.
I can't possibly merge it if it doesn't compile, even if I want to, the CI checks have to pass before it can be merged

as much as i don't mind the f key and entering new areas i can live easy with most of the previous mentions but the healing bot as been neglected bay the dev for to long, when i see ppl like wired203,altruiest,cass put a cubic tone of work to troubleshoot and fix most of the healing targeting and maxhelth problem witch i cant thanks them enough for, it make's me twitch to the taught that if only the developers had put a bit of elbow grease in to it we probably would have a working healing rotation by now, and don't get to exited i do understand that righting code is not that simple and takes time i am not totally striped of judgement, i have to agreed that bosland ( don't want /can not/feel it's not that important/can admit thy don't have the resource) witch i think is the last one,to fix there product i have been sub for many years now and never ever had problem with honorbuddy demonboddy etc but buddywing is looking like a used car in Bangladesh it work but look very half ass neglected, developer claim that they like where the community is going with there effort to fix the important issue with buddywing and i agreed with that but the real way to show there appreciation would be to put Somme long due effort in to it so that Somme progress finally append, i do not claim that i do completely understand the complexity of the healing issue even if i do have a global idea of it and wish i could help fix it and would be willing to do my part as in giving contribution to a capable and willing programmer to restructure the bot correctly, but how am i kidding get use to it ppl it wont append and if dos IL be done bay the community and i hope they will have the credit due to them. p.s my post was not in any way to beat on any of the developer in particular i very well know that a Hugh amount of fix is put up every day and i am grateful for it and i also know that Somme of you will tray to demolish what i am trying to convey but i still think that the problem as been push aside for long enough and i think it's time for a little look in to it sesion
I think you are right. I've just merged the changes from Wired203 into the combat routine, it'll be rolled out in the next release (most likely today). On a side note, the comparison with Honorbuddy and Demonbuddy is obviously an often drawn one. The thing people forget is that that bot has a huge amount of users compared to BuddyWing, which, among other factors, allows for more resources to be spent on its development. Sadly, we're not running a charity and developer time isn't free.
mybad on that one you are right comparign BW with HB or DB was not the best example i could give and i apologize for that, i think ppl will be delighted to know that they will be able to use healing spec again and i for sure am most grateful for your effort on updating BW to work like the fix that wired203 default combat fix couple with the BW version 898 give us for a short live till the up date rolled in.
I didn't read that healing was fixed or that the get health variable was working, did I miss something?
Man gonna be time to start round 2 in a bit after house projects. I have been eyeballing doing a GUI for default combat for settings. The other thing people need to realize is Aevitas has limited time to work on this and the community is small. We don't have many developers to work on this. Alltrueist does keep our profiles up to date and even started the work on identifying the healing issues, Cryogenesis is the best resource for profiles too and has helped update and write more than any other person here currently. I wonder how many people would be interested in some training documents on some of these items. Could get more people to jump into the fold and that could really help get/keep everything updated.
I don't think that part is fixed but the other pieces would be in, including scavenging/skinning mobs. I know he did add some API last big update that was a step twords getting that all strait. The explanation I got was basically the health variable is multiple parts in different locations that have to be added together. I thought about a maxhealth crutch that may or may not work. We can retrieve current health fine so with some code basically. Code: get currenthealth if currenthealth > maxhealth maxhealth = currenthealth yeah that's not API calls or anything but in essence could work. Anyone know of any buffs etc that can over boost health? Would be the only caveat there. Still depending on how much over the top it could make you might only be like 5% or 10% which is a start variance that we could work around.
i will take a look at all my healer class and see what i can com up with that would modifies health pool ( buffs) and com back to you on it .
For profiles to work again, aevitas really needs to take a look at the new quest windows, old conversation with light/dark gain en the crashing on taxi/elevators. If those are fixed, profiles are easy to come up with. Hell even old profiles could run out of the box again. So if Aevitas is gonna take that up, ill do my part. but for now im on hold Pff think about running the entire story part on the bot, hell even FPs should be optional again.
