Hi, Due to the massive ban wave that recently happened, I'd like to share my success story to show another voice. I starting botting in Mist of Pandaria. Mainly because I wanted to play more classes without having to do the boring level grind again. Before I starting botting, I leveled about 4 chars to max. level manually. At the end of MoP (thanks to Honorbuddy), I had all classes on max. level and although Honorbuddy did most of the work, it felt like a great achievement and I still feel happy about having most characters on 90 and now some already on 100. In WoD I botted 3 chars to level 100 and the latest one dinged about the end of februari. Luckily I didn't get banned in the recent mass ban wave. Using Honorbuddy for honor points (battlegrounds) or materials (herbs, ore etc.) is something I tried for like a couple of days but I then decided to play it safe because of the obvious pathing etc. and stopped doing that. The pathing and the behaviour is seriously so obvious in BG's that I don't understand why people risk their account to farm honor points with Honorbuddy. Anyway, those couple of days not counted, I only used Honorbuddy for leveling. While the bot was leveling and I was doing chores or watching a movie, I always checked in every now and then to make sure the bot wasn't stuck or something similiar. I also always put all the spells the bot used on my action bar, never made the bot using the default mounts (don't know if any of that made a difference but it felt safe) and used the LogMeOut addon (great Honorbuddy addon for those who don't know it). I feel like the Honorbuddy programmers are a very talented bunch of people. The way that bot works (reading memory) and managed to stay under the radar of Blizzards detection mechanics (with probably some really clever reverse engineering of the game client) is really really advanced stuff. Too bad Blizzard found a way now but hey, nothing can last forever and I'm sure the team finds another way pretty soon. Thanks for reading
