Thing is except for a the money the paladin has got full mining skill. Anyways I'm afraid that he might take back the account in the future so i was wondering what I should do?

Can i make a new account in his name and migrate characters over to the new account? WIll that be safe?

I guess I can't sell the account to anyone as long as i dont have ID proof or SQ/SA.

give it to me, and ill feed you gold

But for serious: If your plan is to make a new account and x-fer toons to it, you need to know the Sq/A, and still the OO (original owner) could still recall the characters transfered UNLESS you got the account banned for something stupid like; botting.

I used to trade accounts and 90% of the time it was either me going to recall the account (cuz i hated the class i traded for) or the other person.

I have a guildie who sold a full t3 with glaives and all the vanity you could dream of for over 4k and plans to recall the account when the rogue is 85..

Get a copy of his photo ID, get the CD-KEY, Stick and authenticator on it.

Still isn't safe. The guy could call em up have the authenticator removed, say he was hacked, get everything else changed back...

Sell it. It's just a trap.

No... in order for them to get the authenticator removed they either have to have the "US-blah-blah-blah" code or they have to fax a proof of who they are into blizzard. I don't know what they would do if two people were faxing information in for the same account and claiming they are both the same person.

Edit: 1. Change both yours and the account givers real life name to "John"
      2. Get married.
      3. Fax your marriage certifcate over to blizzard so you can change your last name.
      4. Get divorced.
      5. Cha ching.

First of all, Yea they would know which is which.
First off, The Original owners IP is for example Chicago, IL, And The other persons IP is in Texas.. Pretty obvious..
And I have removed my authenticator before without needing the authenticator code And without needing to fax in information..
I don't know anyone who would move to another state to "try to keep the account"
And I don't think anyone would spend the time and money to change their name to someone elses to take over an account.
If two different people was faxing in the same information, They would probably just ban it because they know it was sold.

This does seem a little too complicated just to get a lv80 paladin...

Make a bank guild, another one if you already have one. Dump all the gold in the bank, start farming on the acc 24/7 and dump everything in the gbank.
      Goldz!

      What do?
      Give my account back!

No seriously, get an extra guild bank, allow deposit only.
Let them dump everything in the bank, and let a new lvl 1 (on your own account) take it out and put it in your own gb.

I actually bought one of my farming accounts off of playerauctions.. the guy was a chinese account reseller. Anywho, yesterday I got a notice saying the account recovery form has been accepted for battle.net account blahblah@hotmail.com.. I'm like huh, guess that means the original owner is trying to get it back.. it said the password was changed but it wasnt..

So I petitioned ingame, got an email and ingame response saying the account was investigated and there are no signs of unauthorized access or illegal activities, so the account will remain untouched. So I guess the dudes attempt didnt work, I was actually pretty surprised at that.

      Hah, nice :)

Haven't heard great things about PA though. I've pretty much only heard good things about 2 companies who buys/sells accs.

If 2 ppl claims to be the same person i'm pretty sure Blizz hands it over to the authorities.

      Risk jail over a wow-account

      What is this....kindergarten ?

      EDIT:
And what if the account belongs to someone here ?

Or even worse if it belongs to Kenny, 10 years old who would cry like hell

      Ban this dude.

So what u mean to say OP is that you scammed someone out of their accunt and fear that they might want it back?

if this is the case there should be some bans handed out. This is a botting community (with some values) and not a scamming community.

It's one thing f**king blizzard but stealing accounts is a whole lot worse.

Hand account to authorities? Lmao, go for it I guess. I bought this from PA who the guy obviously sold it to the account seller on PA... Yeah I did email PA about getting my money back when I saw that email, I'll see what they say. Screw PA, but yeah it was nice to see they didnt do the account recovery.
