I was running a gatherbuddy profile, had been on for about 5 hours when it dc'd. wasn't worried about it till i tried to sign back in this morning and boom. This account is no longer available for play.

I am sure that it was because I was on 2 toons at once for about 19 hours. A new guild mate didn't like that too much and reported me. I appealed but maybe I was bad at writing, it was a bit weak i guess. I am buying another account today, just a SoR to get back into it. Its only money right?
I would keep appealing, just today i got my main acc back after i was banned last week, they said they had proof i was botting and or using hacks, my first appeal didn't go so well, i try using the oh i found a couple virus on my pc thing but still they denied me, then yesterday i again open a ticket this time i asked for them to show proof of what hack and what toon i was supposedly using hacks, I also added that i am not the only one in my home that uses my wow acc and that i am aware that i should not be sharing my acc but we can't afford multiple acc, and so my acc is on most of the day even during the night at some times, After a few hours i got my acc back and got a email stating that my ticket status had changed to resolved, maybe i just got lucky but i also have a friend that has been banned many times on the same acc and so far he has been able to get it back every time, sometimes it takes many appeals and sometimes only like 1 or 2. I mean it's worth trying if the acc was a main since they always have all the cool mounts and stuff =p.
