It's been quite a while since I've played FFXIV, and with the new expansion coming up I decided to get back into it. Being a long-time BuddyBot user for World of Warcraft I wanted to give RebornBuddy a try. So I bought a key, downloaded some plugins, the bot, got everything up and working, but honestly leveling is really slow. Am I doing it wrong? Currently I'm running FateBot with the Auto-teleport plugin for some full automation. I'm sitting at level 34 and leveling is going just...so...slow... Any thoughts? Is this what to expect? I kind of wanted to get to 50 on SMN ASAP and get into doing some higher-leveled stuff. I currently have a Thaumaturge/Black Mage at level 50 and kind of miss the big group events. Thanks in advance!
How do you have the plug-in configured? There's an option to set a level limit. I usually set that at +3 to allow some higher FATEs to be done, without me dying. For me I found that Coerthas usually has more people (so FATE's are completed quicker), hence around level 32/33 I move to there and let the bot grind.
I'm sitting at level 34.75 right now. I didn't have a level limit set, but I do now based on what you said, so thank you very much for that! While sitting here watching the bot for the last half-hour or so it is heading off to FATEs and it is doing what it's supposed to. Nothing wrong with the bot, I guess I just expected leveling to go quicker. It's been a while since I played FFXIV so this might be the speed it's supposed to level at. I'm coming from Warlords of Draenor WoW, where leveling is really fast...
Sometimes it just depends on the server / times. If there's a lot of people then FATES are completed quicker, especially the Svara string of FATES in Coerthas. Lvl 30-40 is usually the slowest, but the rest is fine.
