Looking for botting advice Hi there, i've been using HB for about a week and i'm loving it, been playing wow for 10+ years and can't believe I didn't catch on sooner... However, after reading the Ban Reports section today, I suddenly have major doubts and fear for my account. I see some people have botted for years and not been caught, and others have been caught within an hour of using it.. I am hoping this is due to neglegence and not that they are just unlucky. From my understanding, there are blatantly obvious things you can do to that will attract attention to yourself, i.e Questing, listing hundreds of auctions, PvP or any other bot-mode which interacts with other players, so it makes sense to keep your usage as low as possible to avoid being caught I am wondering if I really should be worried, because all I do is farm dungeons a few hours at a time. The items are mailed to a bank toon (who atm isn't listing on AH) and items I want are then mailed to the appropriate character. I had something like 2k green items in my mail box which I realise was a ridiculous amount so i've decided not to bot for maybe a week so to avoid any suspicion I'm just looking for advice, reassurance or warnings; whatever it takes to help explain the good or bad ways to bot, what to focus on and what to avoid. Many thanks in advance for any replies
You're right on track. If you're really concerned about your account only use the bot for rotations and not for any auto moving or auction posting activities. I suggest using Enyo and assign a hotkey to pause it easily. I also use TuanHa paid routines. It's a small investment but getting the full package is well worth it, I own a lot of the paid routines and his are usually the best imo.
running dungeons is profitable enough to survive. and if done in moderation, you will lower the risk. there is still risk, but its less exposure giving other players less chances to report you. some say you have equal chance every single time you turn on hb, which is true. if you pick up one apple every single hour. its true, you are picking up equal number of apples per hour, but at the end of the day, you got 10 apples. same thing with player reports. about the greens. you need to assess time vs gain. is auctioning the greens really worth the time spent? remember, you pay to post greens, whether or not the sell, you still pay. vendor those greens. save yourself the trouble.
