I am a new user to HB. I was using a seperate botting account, leveled one character to 21 using the quest bot no more than 5 hours per session and 50% monitored. Here is the annoying part i reiceved closure notification for my MAIN account which has never botted and my account that i did bot on has not been banned WTF ?? I have started the account recovery process and am hoping for the best the only thing i dont know why my main account got banned it has an authenticator so i cant see how it was hacked either. It has definetly taught me a lession and put me off botting, i dont care if my bot account gets banned but if my main gets banned for no reason wtf PS i never interacted with the two accounts eg mail auctions or anything. 1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account? HB 2)If so, when was the last time?: 2am 3)What profile were you using?: Kick's Mega Profile Packs 1-85 4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: default rogue 5)What plugins are you using?: none ? 6)How many hours per day did you bot for?: approx 5 6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot? 50 7)How many auctions per day did you have?: 0 8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? no 9)Was your account involved in gold selling? no 10)EU or US realm? us
Hmmm...you did multiple 5 hour questing sessions & the toon is only level 21? I would imagine that you must have been stuck several times. If you used the same computer and/or IP for both accounts then, yes, Blizz can ban the main account. Sends a stronger message than banning the lvl 21 toon. The email they sent is important also. They may just have frozen the account for suspicious reasons (to protect you). Once you share that info, folks can provide more input. Just play dumb in your appeal, admit to nothing. Just say that you have no idea what they are talking about - to EVERY question.
***Notice of Account Closure*** Account Name: xxxxxxxxx Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy. Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment. blah blah blah I have gone through the automatic account recovery process and reset my password and will see what happens i prob only had about 15 hours total and yes the bot got caught alot on the brewfest crap around entrances and bugged out on a couple of quests
50% monitored you have have noticed bot got stuck several times. What I find funny is you left the bot unattended those remaning 50% knowing this. You got player reported...alot.
most of the time i came back i was disconnected from afk time out but yes your right i knew the risk and left it unattended. it makes no sense they would ban my main account unless like the other poster says they are trying to make a point
i have 3 people living with me who all play wow on the same IP, I bot and used to leave it on over night. Big mistake. All of our accounts were banned due to being on the same IP. I bought myself a second screen for my PC so i can watch a movie while i bot and see wow at the same time. I no longer leave it on over night and have successfully got pet's achievements, and leveled several toons to 85 without even a warning. Lesson is! Bot smart
i had no auctions, i got an email saying the account action has been reversed and that they are sorry. so the ban has been reversed to avoid the ban from being on same ip would somthing like battleping work ? i think i will only be bottin when i can monitor it from now on
