After the new WoW patch, i looked in the ban section and notice not many have been reported for gatherbuddy. Does this mean that blizzard is making a list for a mass ban or the bot is more realistic? I'm curious because I own a license for the bot and may buy a month's worth depending on the situation. Just wanted to see some feedback.
I don't think Gatherbuddy received much bans before the patch.... Most came from Honorbuddy due to player reports since Gatherbuddy can fly not many people see it and Honorbuddy is mostly grinding mobs on the ground for hours and hours
Honorbuddy does much much more then grind on the ground for hours and hours. You can PvP, Quest, Grind, Farm, Instances, etc etc. Most people who get reported for botting have yet to learn safe botting practices, I.e. those grinding on mobs for hours and hours on a popular profile with lots of people around, same applies for farming/mining/herbing/anything. If you use a public profile and you stay there for long amounts of time, and that area is populate, someone is bound to get suspicious.
............. i'm not asking you what HB can do i know that, i was just stating that was probably the cause of the fewer bans this patch
I have had 2-3 bans with GB in the past using minimal hours, so I can only infer that the security or realness of the bot has increased.
